Trump’s Questionable Political History
Conservative Review ^ | January 13th, 2016 | CR Editors

...

The issue of immigration is likely the single biggest factor in propelling Trump to an enduring lead in this race... Republicans and D.C. conservatives have ignored these problems for years. In comes Donald Trump who literally wrote “the Art of the Deal” and is cognizant of what his prospective consumers want to purchase. He offers them the red meat. But is this really who Trump is on immigration and is this what to expect from a President Trump or even presidential nominee Trump?

We are not talking about positions he has taken years ago before he became a Republican. In 2013, conservatives were fighting for dear life to oppose open borders, while Trump was not only supporting the Dream Act, but echoing the liberal politically correct talking points behind it. In August of 2013, he reportedly told a group of illegal aliens, “You have convinced me” of the need to pass the Dream Act.

...

quite admittedly, the party elites who dislike Trump dislike him for the wrong reasons; but that should not stop conservatives from mistrusting him for the right ones.

A lengthy analysis of Trump's political positions, and why any conservative who votes to make him President should not later be surprised by his Liberal approach to government.

Questionable? There’s nothing questionable about Trump’s liberalism.

won’t bother trumpsters as they don’t care about ideology as long as the politician say the empty slogan close the borders. its the only issue to them.

*************************************

Democrats represent the illegal aliens

The GOP represents their employers

No one represents the citizens

The citizens want the border fenced and the laws enforced and the GOP has refused to do that.
Worse, they have tried to bambozzle us into amnesty repeatedly.

I think he’s liberal (though maybe with age, or due to the last 7 years, he sees the folly of his ways); in any case, look at how many people on the left question his abilities while ignoring Obama’s idiocy/lack of experience/etc.

But, but, but. He’s great. He wants to make America great. He doesn’t owe Goldman Sachs! Um, he tweets... he has nice hair... he is from New York...

Trump is a liberal New York jerk that has promised a few things that he knows people will latch onto; him knowing full well they will never happen. He takes his supporters for the chumps they are.

It comes as no surprise, then, that late last year Trump criticized Cruz for acting like a "maniac" when he called McConnell a liar.

Trump loves those GOPe deal makers. Trump is going to reform DC? Yea right, his nature is a liberal. A leopard does not change his spots.

Good post! Trump has been entertaining but his big act has worn out. I do not trust that liberal.

Trump has an undeniable history of supporting liberal causes and engaging in liberal behavior. As a “republican”, he’s no different in that regard than Romney and McCain.

The fact is that Murdoch and the GOPE are lining up behind Trump. That is reason enough to vote for Cruz....
