Ted Cruz has taken more heat for his comments about âNew York valuesâ than he has anything else he has said since he was elected in 2012. Naturally, since most of the mainstream media is based out of New York, it has been high horse riding time as so many have gotten their panties in a wad over the comments. Ironically, they take more offense at what Cruz said than in Donald Trumpâs blatant birtherism. Being a birther is cool now that itâs not Barack Obama who is the subject of Trumpâs comments.
Unfortunately for Trump, who deftly (but at the same time shamelessly) evoked 9/11 as a means of responding to Ted Cruzâs comments, he cannot escape the very things he has said over the course of the last 15 years. Trump, as I have said on prior occasions is a charlatan. He is not a conservative at all. He is not now and never has been one. Outside of immigration (which is far more based on phony populism than policy), his views on taxes, healthcare, foreign policy and trade carry all the hallmarks of a progressive Democrat.

That's absurd two ways.......
I wondered how long it would take for Redstate to be attacked.
Trump supporters have now taken to killing the messenger instead of responding to the message.
I thought you liked Trump? You praised him when he adopted the Gorelick / Jersey Girls / Cindy Sheehan rhetoric on the War on Terror if I recall correctly.
In any event, many around here would rather support a candidate who has literally attacked conservatives on the stump, uses vulgar language on the stump (yeah, that’s Presidential), proposes one big government program after another, defends Planned Parenthood and all of the “good things they do” because “we have to help women” even in the wake of those outrageous videos, attacks the fundamental freedom of private property rights and supports ultra liberal SCOTUS rulings like Kelo v. New London CT, supports the Obama stimulus, supports “universal healthcare” that “the government’s gonna pay for!”, joined the liberal media smearing of Justice Scalia, and so on, and so forth, and if you even express the slightest concern over any of this, you are jumped on as an agent of the GOPe, RINO, liar, etc. or they will say these things were in Trump’s “distant past” - even those things said in very recent years and during this very campaign.
Too late. The masses fall for celebrity and whomever appears on the front page of the National Enquired.
JoSix is a real embarrassment.
Read the script for Star Wars. Mark Hammil is a great Jedi.
I think you nailed it. This site is definitely an important place for anyone who wants to be president. I think Cruz and Trump’s inner circles are well aware of it. The left is too.
Seems like a lot of trolling happening more and more as the 2016 election gets rolling.
You always were a master of understatement. Welcome back BTW ;)
You've stopped taking ALL your meds now I see.......trump has voted for almost every politician and policy that has screwed us in the last 30 years.
If he wins he probably puts Hillary on his ticket.
Good point.
Trump is a showman who might have a few conservative positions...
Now that's where you lost me. You just did what you have accused others of doing. Because neither Trump nor Cruz is GOPe. I sure wish those two could form some sort of alliance, or at least a lasting truce.
Is Cruz seriously using a video from 1999? Wow, I hope he keeps doing it! Keeps him wasting his money on useless attacks.
wow. i didnt know two wrongs made a right.
now trump’s support of partial birth abortion doesn’t matter.
the companies he screwed in his four bankruptcies are paying for his campaign.
excellent analytical comeback from a trump supporter.
After those videos were release, Trump came out swinging in defense of Planned Parenthood and all of the “good things they do” and adopted the nonsense talking points that abortion is only a “small part” of what they do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M-rK96uJKY&index=6&list=PLJcbhHQDR9da0H3-Qs-7WEEj6tam9vlh3
I don’t understand the fixation some have with exposing that Trump isn’t a strong principled conservative.
Most people know that. It’s not a secret.
The problem is that self identified conservatives in DC and in politics have failed, while the democrats have enjoyed successive triumphs. Their voters just aren’t buying it anymore. They’re willing to try something new, as at least that way there’s a chance that some conservative goals can be met.
Sticking with the usual conservatives in government means there’s no chance.
I know. I can’t believe he did that. What a jerk!
