Cruz Releases Video Of Trump Talking New York Values And Partial Birth Abortion Support
Redstate ^ | 1/16/2016 | Jay Caruso

Ted Cruz has taken more heat for his comments about “New York values” than he has anything else he has said since he was elected in 2012. Naturally, since most of the mainstream media is based out of New York, it has been high horse riding time as so many have gotten their panties in a wad over the comments. Ironically, they take more offense at what Cruz said than in Donald Trump’s blatant birtherism. Being a birther is cool now that it’s not Barack Obama who is the subject of Trump’s comments.

Unfortunately for Trump, who deftly (but at the same time shamelessly) evoked 9/11 as a means of responding to Ted Cruz’s comments, he cannot escape the very things he has said over the course of the last 15 years. Trump, as I have said on prior occasions is a charlatan. He is not a conservative at all. He is not now and never has been one. Outside of immigration (which is far more based on phony populism than policy), his views on taxes, healthcare, foreign policy and trade carry all the hallmarks of a progressive Democrat.

He reported it on the wrong form. Evidently telling the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth is not a New York value.

Obviously you have no clue who the antichrist literally is, else you would not make such an unChristian stand. Ignorance is said to be bliss.

This forum used to be Cruz Country until PT Barnum threw his hat into the ring.

Cruz is responsible for his own demise, not Trump. Did Trump vote for TPA, is Trump financing his campaign with funding from the CFG or Goldman Sachs? No, Cruz did and is doing that, that is why he is losing.

He took loans against stock he had.

That is not the point, even if it is true. The controversy is about not declaring it as the law stipulates. It would have gone against his campaign narrative, so it was certainly convenient for Cruz, with an unusual memory and unusual abilities, to “overlook” it.

For Cruz to turn this around he’s going to need Rush, Hannity, and Levin to turn on Trump 100% starting next week. Levin may do it, but Rush and Hannity are personal friends with Trump and love their ratings more than Ted Cruz.

Cruz had a chance to win the New York City values debate by offering a positive conservative message to New Yorkers, and instead he gave a cynical and snarky response. Dividing Americans isn’t going to play this election, we’ve had 8 years of a divider and chief with Obama, we need to unite.

No, liberals like you spreading as much division as you’re probably paid to is why half this forum ignores reality.

Trump is PT Barnum resurrected and the rubes here at Trumpswab Central are eating it up. There is no hope for America. A good portion of our side is every bit as stupid and dishonest as the left. Cultists! Lol

I don't know if you're a senior citizen. Because those of us who have reached our senior age see plenty of examples of those who become better people because of personal experiences with loved ones and friends.

I don't know if you're a Christian. Because Christians believe that a sinner can mend their ways.

I see Donald Trump as a person who has achieved everything anyone could want to achieve. And what does he decide to do? Give back to his country and make things right for all of us.

Yeah, I really believe that. This is a man who is making sacrifices to serve the nation.

What a pant load. Cruz got two loans secured by his own personal assets and you act like that’s a sin. Pathetic.

It is not even clear that the FEC requires a personal loan like that be reported. The loan was not made to the campaign and the campaign did not have to repay it.

“Reagan was never “ pro abortion “ “

Call it what you will....

“Reagan’s Darkest Hour

As president, Ronald Reagan was an unflagging champion of unborn human life. “Today there is a wound in our national conscience,” Reagan told a joint session of Congress in his 1986 State of the Union. “America will never be whole as long as the right to life granted by our Creator is denied to the unborn.”

But honest discussions of Reagan’s record on the abortion issue admit that as California governor he signed into law a liberalization of abortion that led to an explosion of abortions in the nation’s largest state. Reagan critics and supporters alike recognize this fact — one that is particularly tough to swallow for staunch pro-lifers. The full story, however, is more complicated — and worth setting straight now, 35 years after Roe v. Wade.

On June 14, 1967, Ronald Reagan signed the Therapeutic Abortion Act, after only six months as California governor. From a total of 518 legal abortions in California in 1967, the number of abortions would soar to an annual average of 100,000 in the remaining years of Reagan’s two terms — more abortions than in any U.S. state prior to the advent of Roe v. Wade...”

Now you mention Red Herring. I may be way off base but could Trump & Cruz little spat be also a Red Herring? I mean Trump is helping Cruz bringing out the all issues regarding Cruz way before the election so it won’t be a “October Surprise”.

As for Cruz, perhaps he spoke intentionally about New York City Values knowing how Trump would respond. Cruz knows he may get alot of money but not votes. There is only 1 person who could win New York and that is Donald.

It seems like a Kabuki Theater with these 2 to come against the Establishment. Now the media is also biting.

Just makes me think these 2 are up to something. I love both Donald and Cruz. We will never have a perfect candidate except Jesus, but I do not see him running in this election.

Ok I’m going to put on my tin foil hat.

"only true conservative"
One of my very favorite expressions here at FR; it means something different for each person who uses it.

Ain't that the truth. And it reminds me of the old No True Scotsman fallacy.

Person A: No Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge.
Person B: But my Scottish uncle puts sugar on his porridge.
Person A: Then your uncle is not a true Scotsman.
