TEHRAN - Iran announced Saturday that it had released four Iranian-Americans as part of a prisoner exchange with the United States.
The announcement from the judiciary on state television did not identify the four, but Iranian news media said they included Jason Rezaian, The Washington Post’s Tehran correspondent; Amir Hekmati, a Marine veteran; and Saeed Abedini, a pastor. There were discrepancies in the Iranian reports about the identity of the fourth prisoner.
It was not immediately clear whom the Americans released, but Iranian reports said seven Iranians were freed.
The exchange was apparently orchestrated to coincide with the expected announcement of the lifting of nuclear sanctions against Iran, the most important phase of the nuclear deal reached with world powers in July.
The incarceration of the Iranian-Americans had become an increasingly bitter side issue.

Don’t know who, but they got 7 back for our 4. And they are already in Tehran meaning Iran didn’t release our 4 until after we gave them the 7.
Notice that the NYT praised the release of the journalist with several paragraphs and only mentioned release of the Pastor and others as an afterthought.

Trump talked about all four in nearly every rally he’s held and during a lot of his on TV interviews.
I don’t listen to Cruz’s rallies, so I don’t know if he ever even mentioned them.
Tump even warned Iran that there would be hell to pay if they weren’t released before he took office.

it is a little more then that. the Iranians are giving Obama political cover so he can do more damage to the United states. this next year is all about Obama doing things that earlier would of gotten him impeached. expect for his actions to get more and more radical the closer his time as president comes to an end. the reason why the prisoner exchange is taking place is that they miscalculated the effect of the propaganda pictures they took for internal consumption in Iran of there prisoners. The mullahs and there bureaucrats realized that it put the big cash pay out and ending sanctions in danger of not happening because of the republican congress. I expect that as soon as the payout happens they will snap up what ever Americans they can find in country.

That is incorrect, Cruz was praying personally with the Wife of the Christian Pastor long before the Iran deal was announced./ No he was not the only one, Franklin Graham to name a few.

Agree. Trump kept the hostages in front and center at EVERY rally. Over and over again. Some here complain that Trump is too repetitive in his speeches—I think they produce fruit BECAUSE he doesn’t let go and repeats over and over what the nation would rather sweep under the rug.
Mullahs have their yachts picked out and which supermodels they will invite aboard with their billions.
