Sept. 11 widower James Smith knows something about New York values. Smith's wife, Moira, was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. She was the only female law enforcement official killed that day.
When Smith, a retired NYPD officer himself, heard about Ted Cruz's "New York values" remark earlier this week, he took to Facebook to invite the Republican candidate to the Big Apple.
"I was disappointed by your disparaging remarks about New York values somehow being different from Iowa and New Hampshire values," Smith wrote. "I invite you to come to the National 9-11 Memorial and Museum and see for yourself, and perhaps learn something about, the values of New Yorkers."

Freegards.
That's what I heard. Btw, has Mr. Cruz circulated a list of acceptable values yet?
>> Kind of hard to say. She’s been dead for over 14 years.
Ha, ha. I should read a little more carefully!
A Trombie invasion has taken place. Idolatry not seen at this level since Moses went to get the commandments.
Maybe conservatives are returning.
Of course!
Every major city in America is just as sick. And they know it!
Why do you think that the complicit MSM took the color red as representing the "enemy" after they thoughtlessly originally assigned it to themselves?
Symbolism is everything to the stealth communists.
"Playing stupid" comes effortlessly to them
Is politicizing the murder of 3000 Americans a New York value that you embrace?
No, I am not foolish and I know exactly what Trump is
up to. He is playing the faux indignant card. I would
expect it even though I am almost as supportive of Trump
as I am Cruz. If Cruz actually thought he had a chance to
win the NY vote then his name would be JEB, not Ted.
Cruz could explain himself, true. The NY conservatives will
understand. Those who won’t would never vote for him anyway.
Don’t feel bad—I do it often myself.
Trump is playing the victim. Kinda defeats his earlier machismo.
Not in the slightest.
Otherwise we would not be arguing the very validation of his statement.
LOL!
Are NY’ers really this stupid?
Here’s a list:
1. Right to Life.
2. RTKABA and magazines that hold more than 7 rounds.
3. Right to have ones daughter take a pee without some weirdo with mental illness walking into the same bathroom.
4. The right to drive through New York with the weapons I own and bought legally without being thrown into jail.
5. The right to bake a cake for whomever I please or not.
6. The right to a salt shaker and a 32 oz coke.
7. The right not to have my money confiscated to fund the destruction of the urban family.
8. The right to say a prayer at a football game.
I could go on if you would like.
PS: I grew up in the same borough as Trump but on the poorer side of the tracks and learned early on that using the tragedy of others to feather my nest was a cowardly act.
That's what I suggested. So Mr. Cruz was simply telling tens of millions all over America, coast to coast their values suck! Right?
I wonder if that's good election strategy?
Worse than that. He is hiding behind murdered citizens, widows and widowers. Not to mention the commie Governor and Mayor.
Or pretending to.
Are you kidding? Manhattan, Trumps home base, voted 93-6% for Obama. These people hate conservatives with a passion. Do you get out much? Do you think urban America is going to see the light and start wedding the women they impregnate? I’m serious here. Is it kumbaya time?
Cruz should accept the invitation and ask the cop what he thinks of the Mayors values vis a vis cops and murderers.
BFD let’s talk about the economy, terrorism, Benghazi, Slick Willie and Enabler Hillary, the dangerous AG and DOJ, immigration, taxes and Obama’s record
Rather than this unimportant crap
Good lord, the stuff that passes for politics these days. Who cares?
Rep Pete King’s comment caught my eye - that Cruz “...and he’s always coming to New York to raise money for Republicans - including gay Republicans, who he tells behind closed doors he’ll look the other way on gay marriage,” he added.”
I guess there’s no real conservative politicians.
