Hope this is the last debate with time-waster Carson on stage.

Agree. The total effect of a debate is what some folks take from watching the actual debate, plus what more folks get from subsequent media coverage. Cruz won the former on points. Trump won the latter by knockout.

He better, he is probably the most at risk candidate since George Wallace.

I think Ben Carson is a very nice man, but it has become clear that he is out of his depth.

At this point, I'm not sure why he ran for President. Was it to promote his book? Was it to throw his hat in the ring for Surgeon General?

What's his "fire in the belly" issue... a return to civility?

Frankie my man the closest “Surging Ted” came on any other poll is about 128 points behind.

“However, the 3-4 minutes that are getting most of the press is the New York exchange, and Trump clobbered him on that.”

Well, if it’s getting all the press, then I guess that’s what’s important. Not the issues or the candidates’ actual policy proposals.

To be honest, Kevlar is bulky and heavy. Sheesh.

Have you seen him in photos when he’s not out in public, in his office, with family, etc.? Totally different.

Every candidate on that stage, except Trump, also would ignore the cheating. For Pete’s sake, James O’Keefe had undercover videos of a Dem in PA detailing how they cheat and nobody on “our” side did a thing. We need someone who’ll fight back, and only Trump has the strength and tenacity to do that.

That's not at all what I'm saying.

What I'm saying is that for the many millions of people who did not tune into the debate, this clip in no way advances the notion that Cruz won.

I did watch the debate and I believe that Cruz was better overall, but this clip is not helping anyone trying to make that case.

It was a mistake for him to open the door for Trump, who apparently had already signaled through an earlier interview that he had and excellent response ready made.

Hell, Trump doesn’t just defend New York values; he lives them. He’s been a liberal New Yorker his whole life. Why do you think he donate to all of them? Why did he support abortion? Why did say Hillary’d make a great president? Why did he say the obstruction of justice, perjury, and sexual harassment was unimportant about Bill Clinton? Why did he have the Clintons at his third wedding? Why is he on his third wife, a former nude model? He’s lived liberal New York values. He knows situational ethics and opportunism and that’s why he switched to being a conservative when he decided he wanted to be president.

Trump is a fraud, too, but not everybody knows it yet.

So true. Just so completely and thoroughly true. Alan West, to name one, was cheated out of his seat via shameless, out in the open, in your face, Dem voter fraud. It was an open and shut case. He wanted to fight it but didn’t have the cash. The GOPe hung him out to dry. Just flat told him to take a hike. It was almost as bad as what the GOPe did to McDaniel in Mississippi.

Yes, that is one reason I’m for Trump. He is the only one I see any hope for, when it comes to fighting Dem voter fraud tooth and nail.

It was gravely embarrassing when the best SOME conservatives could muster against Obozo was the "Birther" issue. It had never been in question than his mother, Stanley Ann, was a Natural Born American citizen, fully capable of passing that status to her offspring, Barack, whether he was born in Hawaii, born by the fireside in Kenya as his paternal grandmother apparently claimed, or was born on Uranus.

Not satisfied with the rejection of the "Birther" "constitutional" fantasy by each and every one of dozens of courts in which actions were filed by some lamebrain or other because the fantasists were just SURE that someone, somewhere, MUST agree with their distortion of the constitution, according to what they fantasize it says rather than what it actually says (and especially as modified by the 14th Amendment), the "Birthers" are STILL obsessed with their pet toy of "Birtherism" and now are turning their popguns on Ted Cruz because he was born (shudder) in Vancouver of a Natural Born citizen mother BORN in Delaware of American citizen parents (both of them although that is not necessary to her status).

If their hero Trump obtains the nomination, I fully intend to vote for him although I regard him as a candidate as being nowhere near the quality of Cruz. I am sure, however, that I am not the only conservative totally worn out with this "Birther" crap.

Since 1973, there have been 60+ million innocent unborn babies slaughtered in utero under fictional cover of law, courtesy of Herod Blackmun and six shades of grey. Now we have anal intercourse posing as the basis of what Anthony Kennedy and four shades of grey hallucinate can be "marriage." We have Obozo seeking to disarm the civilian population now and probably the military and police later all in an attempt to massacre the plain language of the 2nd Amendment. We are nearing $20 trillion in national debt and are getting used to trillion dollar annual deficits. Our people are being killed and threatened with mass slayings by Obozo's buddies (in ISIS, Al Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood, et al.), cannot buy an industrial job on the factory line, are having to deal with the future that looks like Baltimore and literally dozens of real problems and crises that threaten our nation and our civilization.

AND YET, the "Birthers" rave on as though they and their fantasies are somehow relevant and take up precious public attention with their crap and the lamestream media is only too happy to keep the public's minds off REAL problems.

Having practiced law for several decades, I can tell you that if ANY case against Cruz on this issue is taken seriously much less produces a judgment against him, that will be the end of the federal judiciary as we have come to know it. Zero credibility and zero authority will be the irreversible results.
