It is, I grew up there and escaped 4 years ago. It is so bad there now you can’t believe. I mean they have a hardcore communist as Mayor, enough said. I like to call it “North Korea with food” because that’s exactly what it’s like. There’s food there but only the food they allow you to eat. Every single aspect of your life is regulated and controlled, and everything revolves around “The Dear Leader” the Mayor.
Whatever the Dear Leader wants the Dear Leader gets, even if it’s cops getting killed. Bloomberg was even worse, I was living there when he was Mayor and that was probably the closest I’ve ever come to living in a complete fascist state. EVERY single shred of my life was regulated and controlled, even how much money I had. The fascists were constantly constantly taking my money from every direction you can imagine. I walked to my car one morning and found my side view mirror broken and laying in the street and a ticket in the windshield for “equipment violation- no side view mirror $150 dollar fine” and since it was an electric side view mirror it cost around $500 which I didn’t have, so the fascists would put another ticket on my windshield everyday until I owed them about $750 then they towed my car because I owed more than $250 in tickets. That is just ONE example of what they use to do. For doing absolutely nothing wrong I lost my car. I never got it out of the pound. For all know, the traffic cop could have broke my mirror just to give me a ticket. That place is an absolute hell hole. you couldn’t pay me enough to go back there. Greatest city on earth? Yeah if you like to be tortured.
