If that’s what you want to believe, I don’t mind.

He’s going to be our next president.

At some point you’ll have to deal with it.

Either you’re a man of principles or you’re a sell-out. You can always come up with an excuse for the next fire sale on your principles.

Although I don’t agree with it, I understand NY and nj politicians. But mcauliffe in Virginia???

And the dammocrap senate victory fund??

trump is indirectly responsible for obamacare.

Well, one of them did point out that Pelosi and Reid were not New Yorkers. It is true that they lead the Senate and the House though, and they could be invaluable in his instate, national, and international businesses.

Thanks for the note. I appreciate knowing you understand the dynamics involved.

I don’t understand why your “payback” is with a guy that’s been pretty liberal over the years. I’m from NY, having lived in both city and now state. Trump isn’t PC, I hope what he says is true but he was quite liberal even 5 years ago.

You can tell yourself I’m a sellout for all I care. I’m not here to win your heart.

Romney was going to replace Obamacare with Romneycare.

Trump is going to work with Congress to eliminate it.

He plans on a private sector fix.

Trump is not indirectly responsible for Obamacare. The Republicans in the House and Senate were/are.

Did they lift one finger in the House to defund any aspect of Obamacare?

The House can do that any time it likes.

As a good solid Conservative, you know this.

When he joins Congress to eliminate Obamacare, he will have done what every Republican on Capital hill refused to do for two years.

My wife lived in the upper east side of Manhattan when that happened. She was asked to guide a friend down to Ground Zero shortly after the fires were put out. She described to me what the smell was like.

I lost a friend in the basement of the Pentagon on that day. I don't know if he died due to the E-ring collapsing, smoke inhalation, fire, or what. His widow was left to cope with two kids, one of whom was a special needs child.

I remember 9/11. I was supposed to visit the Pentagon that day for work. There is some reason I didn't go (can't remember now).

I remember the day about 3 weeks after 9/11 when I was told that my friend who had a job in the basement of the E-ring was missing. I remember what that felt like.

Trump may be a DemocRAT. HE also may have converted. I don't know. But he has a right to reference the smell of death that was in downtown Manhattan regardless if he was a 'Rat, a Republican, or whatever.

Your comment is one of the most ignorant I have ever read on Free Republic. You can

GO TO HELL!

And your panther whizz graphics are stupid and childish too.

Exactly! Here in California, many wealthy Republicans business people also donate to Liberal Democrats. Why? Because Democrats are running the state. I know this by someone who I know that is involved in their county politics.

Nothing new.

I didn’t say you personally are a sellout. I was speaking of the general “you.” But I’m happy to call your candidate a sell-out.

trump helped pay for the Senate majority that passed obamacare. He helped make obamacare happen. Such a disgusting crime.

Now that I have your attention (don’t make me go full pulp fiction) I note that your post, sans attribution (though it’s questionable that any attribution could or should be trusted) attains any ... um ...

wait. I can admit that it’s all circus bullshit, at least for now.

If it’s Trump, are we behind him, or will we (FR) tank him, a la Romnesty?

I didn’t get that comment either.

He thinks the people of New York/New Jersey don’t live and breathe 09/11/2001?

Yikes. Those folks are tuned in, know exactly what he was talking about, and they agree with him.

For a billionaire, Trump understands the views of the common man very well. They know it, and there’s a very good chance they’ll vote for him in droves, just because of this issue and others they identify in him, as being one of them.

Mcauliffe used to be a NY democrat before the Clinton years when he went off to work for them. From Syracuse. Kind of shows you Trumps circle of friends.

People buy that Trump had to “work with” NY politicians to get where he did in business. But FR would never accept that from another candidate. Again I bring up Giuliani who was Mayor of NYC but didn't sell out as much as the Donald to get there. I wouldn't doubt it if Trump supported Hillary for Senate. Did he?

Reagan was active in the Dem Party for 20 years. That’s a lot different from just making contributions.

Completely different Democrat party, but I think you know that already. JFK was aggressively anti-communist and would, for the most part, be considered an economic conservative today. While the Democrats today can only be called Marxist.

Apples and Tire-irons comparison and has nothing to do with this discussion.
