Im a small business owner in liberal hell. I donate money to dems because THATS ALL THERE IS HERE IN THE CAPITAL OF CALIFORNIA!

Unfortunately I have to grease the palms to get things done and those palms are democrat.
Trump has been very open. Never even wavered when this was brought up.

Add: Trump donated to Rahm Emanuel’s campaign for mayor.

Trump is “greasing a few palms”, “that’s how business is done” according to many of his defenders. Well then, if his money buys him influence and is not a reflection of his political stance on issues, what influence has he had on these politicians? We know that Trump didn’t receive preferential treatment on bids due to his donations, because that would be illegal. So his “buying of influence” must have been in the direction of Trump “assisting” politicians to present favorable political climate for Trump. The trouble is, nothing any of these politicians have done has actually aided Trump’s stated positions.

So, either Mr. Trump’s defenders are misleading about the reasons for these donations, or Mr. Trump has made some colossally bad “investments” in politicians.

Rahm Emanual didn’t run in New York, nor did Pelosi, Reed.

Trump cannot be compared to Reagan. and before anyone foolishing brings up Reagan to defend the Clintonisa, they should get their facts straight. Reagan switched parties in 1962, which is 5 years before he was elected Governor of California (YES... Reagan was a politician). Before that, Reagan’s views changed in the 1950’s, as he endorsed the presidential candidacies of Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1952 and 1956 as well as Richard Nixon in 1960. Reagan gained national attention in his speeches for conservative presidential contender Barry Goldwater in 1964. Even then, he didn’t immediately run for POTUS, but a lesser office to prove his credentials matched his rhetoric.

In contrast, Trump supported the candidacy of Bill Clinton, and credits Slick Willy as the best president in the last 20 years, said Marxist Hillary would make a good president, said he was moved by Obama’s speech, and didn’t change his supportive views on Obama or flipped his liberal positions (abortion, gun control, universal healthcare, eminent domain, etc.) until March of 2011 (when he first ran for POTUS). Can you imagine Reagan endorsing McGovern or saying Carter would make a good president before running himself? He would have never won.

Reagan was the “Great Communicator” who artfully conveyed a vision of American Exceptionialism to the masses, while Clintonista Trump uses Twitter to vent his inner foul-mouthed juvenile.

Reagan was a God-fearing Christian man, while at best, Trump is a deist who says, “I’m not sure I have ever asked God’s forgiveness. I don’t bring God into that picture.” Please STOP comparing the fraud to Reagan.

Or a pragmatic businessman who knows how to make things happen. Those donations would be troubling if made by a politician but that is not what is The Donald.

Can’t run. Can’t hide.

Yep - as bad as the FReeloaders who like to opine on FR but who don't think they need to help pay the bills....

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate (even if he's "rich enough to do it on his own") as the next President.
I donate to the candidate I support and you should too, else, your "support" really doesn't have any meaning.

It's even worse if you use FR and don't donate. If you are one of those who feel it's OK to use FR daily w/o helping pay to keep the lights on, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit. Also, don't be surprised if others decide that your opinions are as worthless as your non-donations - hypocrites aren't worth listening to.

PS - If you are one of those unlucky few who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

Donate to FR

His donations allowed them to get elected and damage AMERICA. That is enough for me to know I don’t want the clown as President. We’ve had 8 years of 1 clown we don’t need another one.

All the crap Kathleen Parker has been spewing about Cruz on Body of Christ is just that crap. Easily proved.

It is time for Christians to be Hot, not cold or in the middle. We must stand on moral values and Constitution. All I hear from Trump is what tickles the ear. 2 Timothy 4:3 KJV
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Bless your little heart. Guess you thought you had a breaking news story but we have known about this for a very long time. A business man donates to the powers that be everywhere. That goes on here, too.
