BALTIMORE - South Dakota Republican Sen. John Thune told reporters Thursday that he is “personally very offended about being called the establishment†by some GOP presidential candidates.
"I think in a presidential campaign the rhetoric is kind of hot. I think it's just inevitable. We can't control what candidates are going to say or are going to do," said Thune, who is the Senate Conference Chairman, during the GOP retreat. "We can only control what we are going to do here and as individual members of Congress."

What offends me is the quarterly tax payment that I will be sending in tomorrow to feed and water these bastards in DC.
What the hell? Dude, you are a U.S. Senator, one of one hundred human beings who votes yea or nay on legislation that will govern the life activities of 320 million citizens and affect hundreds of millions more. Your lifestyle is pampered, your work load light, you have a staff to powder your ass and a retirement plan most of the rest of your employers - that’d be us, the citizens - would die for. You’re sitting at a retreat with catering and a wet bar and your every word is being breathlessly recorded and reported to the public. IF THAT ISN’T ESTABLISHMENT WHAT THE HELL IS IT?

Went to war with the Tea Party and let Lois Lerner get away with using the IRS against the Tea Party.
Feckless , spineless, useless, losers, in the GOP Establishment is why we have Trump doing so well and guys like Bush, Rubio doing so poorly. We are fed up with Rinos and their excuses. The GOP has the most seats in congress in one hundred years and has Ryan losing every fight. Maybe we need someone with a different approach.
Thune’s a disappointment. I gave him lots of money to beat Daschle. But he’s barely Republican, much less conservative.

He never said why that offends him so “very” much. I suppose “cuckservative” would make him come unglued.

Most of these guys just get there and like Trump says they do nothing get nothing done.
