Cruz needed to answer the birther question directly and put it to bed. He is going to be challenged and should have explained why he is a Natural Born Citizen rather than playing glib games about Trump not qualifying.
If Trump does not qualify then Cruz surely does not. His dad was not in the service.
It was a bad answer on Cruz’s part. He needs to deal with this. Trump’s mom and father were both American citizens when Donald was born. No one can legitimately question Trump’s eligibility to be President. Cruz has made this a bigger issue tonight. His NY values bumble will hurt him to. Still won’t ban Muslims. The Sachs loan is also going to hurt him with some, and his support is already narrow for a general election.
