BOOM: Country Music Icon Makes Huge Announcement That Leaves Donald Trump Smiling
Conservative Tribune ^ | 1/14/2016

Billionaire businessman and presidential candidate Donald Trump just received a welcome endorsement from a country music legend.

According to The Daily Caller, Loretta Lynn recently announced her support for the front-running GOP candidate in an interview with Reuters. In fact, the 83-year-old star, who still tours and plays shows, said that she informed her fans after every concert that she was a supporter of Trump and was really looking at nobody else.

"When you get up there and try to say you want to see Hillary Clinton win, that wouldn't go over so big," Lynn said, alluding to the generally conservative nature of country music fans.

"Trump has sold me. What more can I say?" she continued.

"I just think he's the only one who's going to turn this country around," she added. "I'm going to let him call me."

Lynn went on to mention that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz would be her second choice if Trump were no longer in the race for some reason.

This is a pretty big celebrity endorsement, at least for country music fans, and while Loretta Lynn certainly doesn't speak for everyone in the industry, she does serve as a good bellwether of how many individuals in country music may align themselves come Election Day.

Trump has been making solid gains and shoring up support all across the southern United States, and this endorsement from a country music legend certainly won't hurt his efforts at appealing to country music fans and Southerners.

I could care less what celebrity endorses who. I could care less about “celebrities”. That goes for Cruz or Trump both.

Everything you said is true, but I don’t think that her endorsement of Trump will have any impact on people who are under about 60 years of age, maybe older.

Most people no longer care about endorsements.
OTOH, it’s always nice to hear about WHO is supporting which candidate. I doubt that endorsements influence anyone now.

Boom? It’s a nice announcement and all, but sometimes the Internet is just one big face palm. This headline is one of those times.

Epic imagery for Trump.
Gotta say I love the way he’s kicking over all the media’s
little PC sandcastles. And then kicking sand onto the media whores.

It takes a conscious effort not to be put off by some of his more obnoxious “fans”.

It’s working fine so far but some of these zealots push the envelope.

As hyperbolic as it may sound, it isn’t any more so than the article about the Duck Dynasty guy endorsing Cruz was written as it had “locked up” the south for him.

Likely just the writer having a poke at that whole thing.
