Donald Trump is staking his run for U.S. president in part on a vow to protect American jobs. But this month, one of his companies, the elite Mar-a-Lago Club resort in Florida, applied to import 70 foreign workers to serve as cooks, wait staff and cleaners.

A Reuters analysis of U.S. government data reveals that this is business as usual in the New York property magnate's empire.

Trump owns companies that have sought to import at least 1,100 foreign workers on temporary visas since 2000, according to U.S. Department of Labor data reviewed by Reuters. Most of the applications were approved, the data show.

“Trump owns companies that have sought to import at least 1,100 foreign workers on temporary visas since 2000”

1100 divided by 15 years = 73.3 temps per year, on average.

And teddy cruz wants how many H1-B1 again? 1 million, 2 million? Maybe he should consult with his North American Union wife on it.

I don’t think either of those two articles are any less worthless than this article.

1,100 over fifteen years amounts to little or nothing compared to the total employment at Trump businesses.

In accordance with the law.........
*************************************************
So Trump’s active recruitment of non-citizens from overseas (INSTEAD OF HIRING AMERICANS HERE) is OK because it is in accordance with the law for him to get CHEAP LABOR this way.

But the companies that have taken their businesses overseas because of cheap labor (also in accordance with the law) by non-citizens overseas is NOT OK?

I have a question about TRUMP’S RECRUITMENT AND HIRING OF NON-CITIZENS. It may be “in accordance with the law” but IS IT RIGHT?

I have the same question about companies moving their operations overseas. It also may be “in accordance with the law” but IS THAT RIGHT?

My answer to both questions is NO, IT IS NOT RIGHT. And TRUMP IS A HYPOCRITE saying others traveling the Cheap Labor Express is BAD (and something he will fix) but he just goes about his business on the CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS and that is OK.

You do know that Cruz and Jeff Sessions introduced legislation to raise the minimum pay for such “imported” workers to $110,000 per year? You do know that they introduced that not because they wanted to enrich these imported workers but because if that minimum pay was the law, the importing of such workers would stop like it hit a brick wall?

And guess what? The Cruz/Sessions legislation would STOP TRUMP’S RECRUITMENT, HIRING & IMPORTING OF SUCH “TEMPORARY” IN ITS TRACKS. DONALD WOULD HAVE TO HIRE AMERICANS INSTEAD and GET HIMSELF OFF THE CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS.

First of all Trump does not directly manage his many properties. A manger made this decision knowing his boss was running on a platform of America first in hiring . So something is not right here but you do deserve and answer I think one is coming.

But having said that I still believe Trump is gong to build a wall and that trumps everything so to speak.

“LEGAL TEMPS” equal CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS. That “express” helps Trump pump up his bottom line.

If the businesses that are moving overseas were YOUR businesses, would you do the exact same thing they are doing?

And, while legal, are such tactics employed by Trump and other large employers the RIGHT THING TO DO?

Don't laugh too hard, you might fall off your pedestal and hurt something.

Actually, current law should be followed and enforced.

Did Trump break the law? Additionally, the article details 70 foreign workers sought. In comparison with the hundreds or thousands he employs, what is that percentage?
