WASHINGTON — President Obama used his seventh and final State of the Union address to deliver a rebuke to Donald Trump and other Republicans who want to undo his legacy — blasting politicians who "insult Muslims" and want to "slam the brakes on change."
"America has been through big changes before — wars and depression, the influx of immigrants, workers fighting for a fair deal, and movements to expand civil rights," Obama told lawmakers of both parties gathered in the House chamber for the prime-time televised speech Tuesday night.
"Each time, there have been those who told us to fear the Âfuture, who claimed we could slam the brakes on change . . . And each time, we overcame those fears," Obama said.
It was just one of several passages clearly aimed at Trump, whose slogan is "Make America Great Again" and who has dominated the polls with an appeal to cut off Muslim immigration to the United States, build a wall along the Mexican border and make better deals with China and other nations.
"We need to reject any politics that targets people because of race or religion,†Obama said at another point. “This isn’t a matter of political correctness. It’s a matter of understanding what makes us strong."
Moving on to ISIS, Obama fumed that "over-the-top claims that this is World War III just play into their hands."

Undo his “legacy”? That would be a good thing. Despite his proclamations(lies), the economy still sucks. Wasting tax dollars on a non-existent “problem”. Cutting the military back to sub par levels doesn’t make us the strongest military. At least in my definition of strongest. Creating more divisiveness than I’ve ever seen in my 68 years. According to John Lott, Obama was a “part-time lecturer”, a position he was given to bolster his academic credentials in his quest for political office. (They taught at the University of Chicago at the same time.)

That’s exactly right. An instructor is at the bottom of the university or college teaching totem pole, a professor is at the top. Many instructors teach part-time, and often get few or no benefits. By the way, Obama is no “Constitutional expert” either, as the MSM likes to call him. Obama is a fraud on so many levels. He truly was a Manchurian candidate.
