The Democratic presidential hopeful was asked pointblank by a Drake University student to say what white privilege means to her, and to “give an example from your life or career when you think you’ve benefited from” white privilege.

Thalia Anguiano, the student who asked Mrs. Clinton the question, latertold Fusion that she was was “a little disappointed” by the candidate’s answer, saying she missed the mark with the story about the migrant

"That showed me that she does not fully understand what white privilege is and how oppressed marginalized communities are in our society,” Ms. Anguiano said. “I feel like I got more of a white privilege understanding from [fellow candidates Bernard Sanders and Martin O’Malley] than Clinton tonight.”

The actual things that she described as “while privilege” aren’t “white.” Born into an intact family and having the benefit of a good schools. Those who are born into welfare families and attend bad schools are disadvantaged. But it’s not because of their skin color.

If any of those people you mentioned have children, those children are fortunate (privileged?) that’s because they have loving, caring, hard working parents. Skin color has nothing to do with it.
