I don't buy the official story and hope old sailors and specops guys can help debunk:
There no way two US Riverine Patrol Boats lost communications. They have UHF and VHF radios at least, probably HF too. There may have been mobile satcom aboard.
What were two small boats doing 50 miles offshore? That's weird.
If there was any intelligence equipment aboard, the Iranians will not release them anytime soon.
So, were these guys in routine transit from Kuwait to Bahrain (250miles?), lost sight of land, turned off their GPS, broke down and drifted to Iranian waters, confronted by Iranian fast boats...and forced ashore without a single call home?
Really?

From Real Clear Politics, Sept 10, 2015...
"In a 2014 New Yorker interview, Obama said his goal was to create a 'new equilibrium' in the Middle East.
In the short run, at least, his signature diplomatic undertaking can be counted on to bring more violence to this volatile region.
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as the [Obama-Putin Iran deal] agreement is formally known, provides the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism an infusion of somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 billion of unfrozen assets and a great deal more of continuing revenues as businesses and governments around the world rush to profit from oil-and-gas-rich Iran's reintegration into the world economy.
The agreement relaxes the international isolation of the Islamic Republic and ratifies Tehran's status as a nuclear threshold state. And it relieves restrictions on Iran's acquisition of weapons, including ballistic missiles. ..."
Iran has two of our ships and their crews.
Obama and the Dems invite a s*itload of Muslims to the SOTU.
Sounds about right for 2015.
Looks a lot like bozo The Clown President is going to have a hostage situation for the last year of his presidency. Prayers up to those poor guys.
!
I wonder if these are Mark Vs instead of the rubber river jobs because Mark Vs each have a crew of 5 men not counting “passengers” ...and they have range - not unusual to be far offshore, or near Iran. So two boats mean ten crew, just what Iran is claiming. If that’s the case though... this’ll be awkward.
Here’s an account of the old incident with the Brits, who had deployed in inflatable craft:

Really?
BS is probably more fitting! Good analysis.
Don’t worry. John Kerry has ‘grave concerns.’
