Well, well, well. What happened to Yankee go home? Normally I’d say screw them but this is a strategic enough location that we shouldn’t let it fall under Chinese domination. Incidentally, Chinese domination would be a Hell of a lot worse than American “domination”, which consists of our sailors spending a fortune in Philippine bars and on Philippine hookers.

By turning Clark and Subic Bay back on, the US is again dominant in the South China Sea.
From Clark to the new Chinese "islands" is about 400 miles, max.
It doesn't take a B-1B very long to get there. Hell, they would be within standard CAP range for a couple of squadrons of F-15C. They would have loiter time:)
