As White House Chief of Staff, Sununu reportedly took personal trips, for skiing and other purposes, and classified them as official, for purposes such as conservation or promoting the Thousand Points of Light.[17] The Washington Post wrote that Sununu’s jets “took him to fat-cat Republican fund-raisers, ski lodges, golf resorts and even his dentist in Boston.”[17] Sununu had paid the government only $892 for his more than $615,000 worth of military jet travel.
How “Obamian.”
We do have a record of success with Trump—Are you saying he didn’t build a 10 Billion dollar business? So he is a newcomer to Conservatism (as you define it)—one thing he is—a Capitalist who by hard work has proven Capitalism works. Lets give the guy a chance. One term will show us where he is—I trust him over most of the others. Its worth a shot.
It is interesting to take a step back and watch the slow implosion of the “establishment” of the Repub party...it’s like watching a building be demolished...there’s the detonation, then the slow implosion that eventually speeds up to total destruction...Where this goes when the dust settles, I don’t know, but it certainly is going to be a wild ride.
I honestly can’t find the reason why “conservatives” are aligning with him to begin with. Name aside, I we said here is the candidates beliefs and positions over the past 20 years would you consider this person and conservative and vote for him? There would be no hesitation, it would be an emphatic no. Trump is as conservative as Hillary is a truth teller. Many on FR are joyously celebrating and election of a liberal
"Yes Massa Obama , whatever you say Massa Obama! I cannot please you enough Massa Obama!"
Pretty good for a Red Neck Tech. Actually, it is an excellent assessment.
Happy New Year!
I can think of dozens of reasons why I would support Trump as opposed to Dole, McCain or Romney.
So did George Soros, Steve Mostyn, Michael Bloommberg, Peter Angelos, Joe Rickets, Jim Simons etc etc.
Not a real good litmus test when when it comes to picking a leader who would govern conservatively.
One of the few times I agree with Sununnu.
From the lips of Mr. Travelgate. :-)
I can see that too however they weren’t elected because people say home. They were RINOs. Trump is not just a RINO but historically a staunch liberal.
Souter was my first thought, too.
Trump was(or was it an act) liberal because he lived in the liberal capitol of the world. He is schmoozer and a BS artist. Look below the surface.
As opposed to Cruz? Had Trump already been in Congress he’d have voted for every liberal position over the past 20 years because he verbally supported those positions but just because he couldn’t be put on Congressional record and now says he is Republican we will vote for him?
Thank you Mr. Sununu for helping to drive up Trump’s poll numbers.
Sununu is part of the GOPe establishment. ‘Nuff said.
How many liberals want to build a wall and deport millions? How many liberals have even said the word “tariff” in public? How many liberals want to put China in it’s place? How many liberals epitomize anti PC? Where the f have you been?
Voters chose soebarkah, because of the color- black.
Voters are choosing Trump, because of the colors- red, white and blue.
Kinda' DEEP, but SIMPLE.
He says that because having been in entertainment he knows what the people want to hear. The same could be said for him on, how many conservatives support Planned Parenthood, how many conservatives would say you have to accept the Syrian refugees only to recant, how many conservatives would pal up with Bill and Hillary for years, how many conservatives are very pro choice, how many conservatives EVER supported an assault weapons ban, how many conservatives supported universal health care?
