Okay then. Please read the below excerpt and tell me just how it compares with Becca Edwards’ situation in any way other than race? The only commonality between Becca’s family and the subject of the governor’s comments is racial. That is the only issue she, and apparently some FReepers, can see.

Years ago my brother-in-law and his wife adopted a Black baby, a boy. He is now grown. He served a tour in the Navy and is now on the faculty at a small college in New England. He is married to a white woman. At their first visit to our house, I asked her how they met. She responded "In a bar." Why did they get married?
