Multiple people have been reported injured after an explosion in a historic district of Istanbul popular with tourists, Turkish media reported Tuesday.
Private NTV television said the explosion in the Sultanahmet neighborhood was close to a park that is home to a landmark obelisk. The state-run Anadolu Agency says several police and medics were sent to the area.
Police sealed the area, barring people from approaching in case of a second explosion.
Sultanahmet is Istanbul's main sight-seeing area and includes the Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque.

I work with a Turk. He says if politicians continue on the path to a religious rather than secular state the military will eventually step in like happened in Egypt. They are the true power in Turkey.

The last update i read said that 9 of the 10 who were killed are German tourists.. Killed by a Syrian suicide bomber. A little thank you to Germany for opening its borders to so many Syrian “refugees”.

I really think what you are seeing here is a tiff between who runs the caliphate , Al Baghdadi or Erdogan .
