Three simple questions
1. Where is the core now?
2. If this is all based on what Iran says, how can it be verified?
3. Has it been verified?

What do you mean we, kimosavee? John Kerry believes this and is doubtless beside himself with joy.

IMO, it takes a long time to remove a reactor core, depending on size. There are long procedures to make safe to dismantle and remove after operating..
It seems to me that this procedure would have started some time ago, long before the Iran deal.
But then my nuclear engineering creds do not exist so maybe someone who has them can advise.

The Iranian inspector has confirmed that the reactor has been deactivated. What further proof do you require?

Then they are making weapons grade material somewhere else.
This is just show, if it’s true to begin with.

It reached a high enough level of plutonium, so they took it out to enrich it.

I don’t think Plutonium needs enrichment. It is ipso fatso weapons grade.

That should be the first question posed to the traitor and SoS at his next news conference.

“Under the terms of the deal, Iran agreed...”
Why do I have a hard time believing any of that crap?
To: Eleutheria5
A portion of the uranium in a reactor core turns into plutonium. It has to be at a high enough level to make isolation practical. Also, about 25 lbs is needed to make a bomb.
I guess the Iranians calculated the reactor core had cooked enough plutonium to be usable.

Indeed, the fuel rods they removed contain the plutonium. Filling the containment vessel with concrete is a meaning less gesture. Where they removed the core to is the question.
Removing the core means they are in the final stages of bomb construction.
