If he claims it’s $4 million per detainee, then he can flip those dollars into his retirement account. You think I’m kidding.

Four million dollars a year is too costly?
We spend more than that every year flying Obola to his golf junkets.

They’re collaborators. Calling them “gutless wonders” implies that they were conservative at one time.

You know what gives me a laugh every two or three years? Is the Castro brothers getting a small check from the U.S. Treasury every year for the Gitmo lease.

Compared to the Syrian rebel training, the Gitmo costs are cheap.
The “training” part of the program - which managed to field only “four or five” Syrian rebels into the battle against ISIS at a $50 million price tag - has been halted, according to senior defense officials.

In theory Obama can release every last prisoner at Gitmo before he leaves office without anyone being able to stop him. But can he hand over the base to Castro before he leaves office? Would Congress be able to prevent that? What if he just ordered all US personnel to evacuate Gitmo and then did nothing as the Cubans occupied the base?
