Not sure about the press herald's policy for copywrite, so I'll just sum up here- Democrats in Maine are going after Gov Paul Lepage for 8 charges- mostly to do with what they call "abuse of power"- and for his comment a bit ago that out of state drug dealers were impregnating "Young White Girls" in Maine.
The are calling for a special house committee to investigate "allegations of misfeasance, malfeasance, nonfeasance and other misconduct"
I actually put LePage on a list of possible VP candidates for the GOP I shared with another FReeper last night.
Speaking the truth that black drug dealers were coming to Maine, dealing drugs, getting young white girls pregnant who then are on the dole - it's the truth but it's racist and thus against the law! It's a hate crime!
So the governor is GWR (Governing While Republican)...sounds like profiling to me.
The Maine Supreme Court called him wrong. He thought he could veto 65 bills by sitting on them. Nope. He was wrong. They all became law.
Talk radio here in Maine said this morning that Maine is 97% white.
IIRC, my percent was from a couple years ago. So, he’s even more right in what he said.
Paul Lepage had a rough rough childhood from what I’ve heard- He grew up dirt poor if I remember right- and it’s amazing he remained republican through it all- he is abrasive, has course language at times- and the left really despise him- He’s gonna have a heck of a fight on his hands as the left are hell bent on impeaching him or censuring him or whatever-
I believe He even had something to say about all the Somali muslims that invaded/were resettled in, Lincoln? Maine- or some town that begins with an L- Obarma settled them there apparently hoping to turn that area blue
[[You should hear Maine talk radio. Conservatives are going ballistic.]]
Good I sure hope they keep the pressure on the scumbags on the left-
[[Liberals and conservatives were carry signing and yelling at each other.]]
Lol- Maine can be a very, shall we say, “opinionated State” when things start getting ugly-
[[This is noting to do with the his drug dealers making white girls pregnant comment.]]
The left are throwing charges of ‘corruption of power’ for talking to some firm or business or something and getting a fella fired, and a couple of other incidents not mentioned in the article- I read the AP version earlier today, and they mentioned the fella that was fired and made it appear that this is what He’s going to be impeached for IF it goes forward
Yup that’s IT- I forgot which town- the townspeople are really pissed about it- I read an article that had people commenting below in Lewiston, and they were really pissed=- Who can blame them really? Now their property values have plummeted, crime is up ‘cries of racism and islamophobia’ are non stop now- You shoudla seen the comments from the folks
The Waltz of the Elephants as it is known.
That fella is named Mark Eves...he is a democrat, and the Speaker of the Maine House.
Many politicians in Maine have secondary jobs. In my area, state senator Brain Langley , a republican, owns a restaurant on the Union River in Ellsworth, Maine, for instance.
Mark Eves was trying to get a management job of some kind on the side, at a place called the Goodwill-Hinckley School.
The governor got wind of the pending job offer, and called the Goodwill-Hinckley School, and told them it was not a good idea to hire Mark Eves, the House Speaker. The job offer was rescinded, Mark Eves sued the governor, and the libs have been screeching ever since.
Meanwhile, there is nothing in Maine law that mentions anything about impeaching a governor. Most experts believe that impeachment is very unlikely. It all boils down to politics; the liberals could not defeat the governor at the ballot box, so they are trying another tactic to get rid of him.
how many people did our president prevent from getting jobs because they were republicans? Likely quite a few- Heck- he and ilk even went further by using the IRS to investigate conservatives
[[Most experts believe that impeachment is very unlikely.]]
they I think will try that first, but then try to censure him or ‘reprimand him’ whatever that means-
They aint gonna stop
“Somali muslims that invaded/were resettled in, Lincoln? Maine- or some town that begins with an L- Obarma settled them there apparently hoping to turn that area blue”
Lewiston would be the correct city. Our town of Lincoln has a pop of about 2,000. Obama had nothing to do with Somolians resetting there. But you should not let facts get in the way of a good rant.
And to clarfy on the issue of the House Speaker not being hired based on an alledged LePage threat. The school in question did hire him and then resinded the job offer. They paid him $30,000 to go away. He is now suing the gov.
[[Obama had nothing to do with Somolians resetting there. But you should not let facts get in the way of a good rant.]]
Did you not see my whole post? I said I was unsure which city it was and that I believed it started with an “L”- And I was simply stating that the people of Lewiston on the website I talked about were the ones upset- and yes, Obama did have everything to do with Somalis settling there- only the federal government handles where refugees are settled- not the states- states ‘aren’t allowed’ to prevent refugees or immigrants from settling in their states-
You can go down htrough the articles listed here to see that they have been imported for years now by this administration, and you will note they come here through the US UN and are settled in places like Lewiston- The Somalis in maine aren’t simply here of their own accord- as illegal immigrants- they are brought in and given welfare and not ‘allowed to work’
https://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com/tag/lewiston-maine/
And obarma is pushing to settle even more- as many as 10,000 more
LePage joined other Republican governors in condemning President Barack Obama’s goal of accepting 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next year, saying to do so “without knowing who they are is to invite an attack on American soil just like the one we saw in Paris last week.”
