SEOUL - The United States deployed a B-52 bomber on a low-level flight over its ally South Korea on Sunday, in a show of force following North Korea's nuclear test on Wednesday.
The B-52, based in Guam, was joined by two fighter planes, one American and one South Korean, before returning to Guam, the US military said in a statement.

The symbolism of that is on the level of what a 9 nine old child would do.

I think sending a B52 is careless. I like the idea of sending a really fast jet that would blanket North Korea with a sonic boom, and disappear before can respond.

B-52s are more than capable of delivering multiple nukes.

That’s what I was thinking. That will really show ‘em. Don’t mess with us or we will fly our military planes over South Korea.

Oh yeah...more than one and each at least 1MT. Missiles and internal. Of course, if you want conventional bombs how about 54 750lb bombs. Made the Jungle jump back in the 60’s and 70’s.

I see it now.
Displaying the ability to destroy 20 North Korean targets in a matter of minutes is an inadequate response.

But I am talking about nuclear weapons that actually work.

WOW! President Ovomit ordered a 1950’s era, slow moving, heavy B-52 to fly LOW (?) over S. Korea??? This is supposed to show the NORKS that we mean business??????
What a sad state of affairs that Ovomit has brought US deterrent...

Are we saying we can get in and get out with a SLOW plane, then the NORKS don’t have much in the way of a response?
All it takes is ONE slow moving plane to obliterate them?
Are we saying that their tech is BS?
Surely there’s a msg. that they understand that we are missing....

Never mind....we flew over SK, not NK...disregard my last post. Can’t seem to find a way to delete it.

The B-52 flew over South Korean airspace as a muscle-flexing exercise but it has no effect.
The world TRIED to stop the NORKS’ nukes via diplomacy - it failed completely under Mad Albright and her chief negotiator, Wendy Sherman.
Iran built her plans based on the NORK model.
The world TRIED to stop the Iranian nukes via diplomacy - it failed completely under John Kerry and his chief negotiator, Wendy Sherman.
After Clinton and Obama, the NORKS are reinvigorated and are impervious to UN sanctions, like Iran. Is that stopping them from advancing their nuke program? No.
Now a B-52 flies in the air...whoooooppppeeee! Wow. It has no impact.

I was at an air show once, where a B-52 flew over at about that altitude with its bombbay doors open.
Speaking of Titan I, here's the 'Confederate Missile' in Cordele GA:
