Trump is flinging poo hoping that something will stick.

I'd say Trump's track record of making poo stick is pretty good. That is why you all are screaming like little girls every time Trump engages Cruz.

I am agnostic on this. I honestly think that Trump should hit him with everything he has (between the two as it stands, Cruz would get my vote). If Cruz can’t weather this or fight back then he doesn’t deserve to win.

I agree...and Cruz can handle such silliness readily. Trump is only showing that he doesn’t comprehend that “PHASING OUT” the Ethanol RFS standards over 5 years means ENDING them. Cruz’ position on this ending of the Ethanol requirements has not changed. I think KNOWLEDGEABLE Iowa caucus goers will recognize this for what it is worth.

Yup, Trump is good at flinging poo (top liberals are experts). That is not called “engaging”, it is just “poo sticking”.

It is one thing to engage, but what Trump is doing is lying out his a$$. Cruz proposed legislation in 2014 for a 5 year phase out of ethanol and that is still his position today.

Can anyone point to where any Freeper was saying that that was Cruz's stance even two weeks ago?

Go ahead, surprise me.

No , I just hate liars. Rubio already tried this type of lying about Cruz’s record, and Rush and Levin called him out. They have already criticized Trump for Leftist attacks, also. I expect them to do so again.

Lying about an opponents record is a sign of desperation, but also a lack of ethics.

As president, I will rescind the EPA’s blend wall, allowing ethanol to command a much larger share of the energy market. How much difference will that make for Iowa corn farmers?

Sure sounds like he’s for it now.

“Next, it’s hitting Cruz for being anti-ethanol”

No, he’s hitting his purported flip-flopping on the issue. There is a difference.

This IMHO is largely a feigned feud for ‘rat consumption. I think they are both part of a winning plan..

I agree. A caller the other day said he thought Trump is vetting Cruz for vp. Trump's not stupid and that kind of turmoil would hurt his campaign. Better to put it out there now and, if Cruz can put it away, have a clean bill of health for vp.

Cruz stated in private before a group of donors that he did not trust Trump with nuclear weapons. Did that make Cruz look unprincipled?

Candidates attack each other every election cycle. Cruz is the first one I know of who shall not be criticized.

The issue is ethanol mandates and subsidies. Cruz thinks the phase out of those and the strings that always go with government money, will strengthen the industry. He is not against ethanol, but corporate welfare that he says should not be choosing winners and losers.

If you call ethanol subsidies just poo in a presidential campaign. What do you call a serious topic, Dr Suess? I think this is more a case of Cruz supporters being thin skinned because they have never had to put-up with the attacks that Trump has. Cruz has been riding Trumps coattails yelling "Me Too!" for too long, it's time Cruz start facing a little of the music.

I'd say Trump's track record of making poo stick is pretty good.

Yeah like his attack on Cruz's heritage and faith, "There aren't many Cuban evangelicals." Hold on that didn't get Donnie the evangelical vote!

Maybe he could paint Cruz as wanting a pathway to citizenship. Hold on that didn't work either! Esecially when Cruz pointed out he doesn't support a pathway, but that Donald wanted the good illegals to come back after they get deported, therefore Donald approved a form of amnesty.

Or maybe his attempts to kick Cruz off the ballot with his birtherism will stick, wait that didn't work either.

Ok, maybe the ethanol attack will work now,. We all know that Donald loves the big government kickback that is ethanol. While Cruz has never flip flopped on this and has always backed ethanol being phased out over 5 years.

Cruz isn't Ben Carson or Jeb Bush, it's going to be much harder to take him down. If Trump keeps using liberal tactics, which he seems to be quite comfortable in doing, of spreading lies and personal attacks to take down his Cruz, he isn't going to last long when he loses Iowa and the primary is reset.

Trump is a pig. Just his exchange with Howard Stern is enough to convince me he is not a man I want to represent my country.
Just a little of his interview with Stern, “But Trump has also appeared on the shock-jock’s show multiple times since the 1990s to field questions about everything from the size of his genitalia to premature ejaculation, sleeping with another man’s girlfriend and his wife’s bathroom habits. He’s also criticized several women for their body shape, described the time he watched a celebrity sex tape, fondly recalled days before the rise in sexually transmitted diseases made condoms necessary and once compared a shrinking economy to a woman’s contractions in pregnancy.

Trump’s comments on Stern’s program, while not out of step with the show’s normal fare, reveal further details of the candidate’s unvarnished views of women at a time when many Republicans worry that his frontrunner status and larger-than-life persona could further damage the party with female voters before an 2016 election that could come down to the slimmest of margins.

Trump and Stern play “Hot or Not?”
During most interviews, Stern and Trump played a version of “Hot or Not,” a game to determine the attractiveness of women.
