Migrants who commit crimes should lose their right to asylum, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Saturday, toughening her tone as police in Cologne confronted right-wing protesters venting their anger at mass assaults on women on New Year's Eve.
Police in the western city fired water canon to disperse protesters from the anti-Islamic PEGIDA movement, which has seized on the alleged involvement of migrants in the New Year attacks and stepped up its calls for a halt to the influx.
Nearly two dozen asylum seekers were among those suspected of carrying out the attacks, police said this week, heightening tensions over immigration and fuelling criticism of Merkel's refusal to place a limit on the numbers of migrants entering the country.

I’ve been thinking that same thing for about the last couple months. Won’t surprise me to turn on the news and find out Merkel has been ousted.
The Germans pounded, maimed and killed the inner Brits in WWI and WWII.
Which is why so many Brit women married American GIs after WWII and came to live in America.

She has chosen stupidly in the last year in throwing open the gates to the armies of Hijrah, but she is not permanently and ineradicably stupid.
Germany has had a mutually beneficial relationship for decades with Turkish "guest workers" who were respectable people, not social parasites, not predators. Mutti Merkel is rapidly realizing that this is a whole 'nother thing. Merkel's learning curve may be steep, but she will --- I predict --- get rid of the predators and parasites. I hope she can still extend welcome to the true innocents and allies: the Christians, the Yazidis and the tough, anti-ISIS Kurds.

Islam targeted European women because it views them as our most valuable property (with the possible exception of our nuclear weapons). If we will not defend them, is there anything we will defend?

You are quite right; manliness and chivalry look to be dead in Germany, mainly because their government sides with the enemy invaders and also because they have no means, ie. a 2nd Amendment to defend from these vermin.

Years ago my mother and I were in London (she was a British citizen before she became a naturalized American). We got off the bus to walk the remaining few blocks to ST Paul’s cathedral only to find Muslim men lining the sidewalk in their folding chairs glaring at us. Creepy.
I wouldn’t bash all German males. There are a large number of them who are very outraged. In fact, a German I know blames the left-wing madness solely on women voters.
Apparently you can buy ammunition relatively easily, and it’s being bought in bulk. I’m sure thousands of German men right now are getting their Grandfather’s rifle out from under the floorboards and waiting for the critical mass to reach.
I don't, I spent 6 years among the German people while stationed there, lived with them, partied with them, made friends of them.
The men will not put up with this muslim crap for long.
Who replaces her? The CDU is the more “conservative” party in Germany. I guarantee her replacement will be even worse.

I don’t care about German politics. I find them to be quite ambivalent but their women are getting raped real bad by Muslims( in the thousands now) and they are getting pissed about it as you can well imagine.
