Good old Mark Steyn. That was a great report.
There is just no denying that Trump is cool.
Mark is brilliant. He cuts to the core, sees the details the establishment misses.
Thanks for posting this Rummyfan!
TTTT!
‘Trump delivers without a net’
For some reason this made me tear up.....
...I have waited so long for a man of courage and deep love for our country.
He’s here!!!!!
And I am so thankful!
Steyn is the best.
Few writers cause me to look up certain French words or phrases, and laugh.
Stein's take on Trump is dead on!
I like him but, obviously, don’t know how to spell his name -——>Steyn.
Well worth the read ping.
Trump will win NY, NJ, and MA. Don’t know about VT.
I good read.
Trump has totally taken away “I am a woman” I deserve to be president. You are sexist if you don’t vote for me. Can’t go there now Granny. It’s your personal third rail. Trump will remind people how you abused and destroyed woman who were attacked by sleazy Bill. Wonder if he brings George Step into the fray also? Granny has been an enable and an abuser of women. Trump has remove her only reason to vote for her. He has actually taken that card and put in his hand. He is so politically smart.
That is an awesome sentence...I always said the Trump campaign is like driving past a bad car accident...you can't help but look and stare...
Steyn is a showbiz pundit as well and he sees a hit in the making.
“Yes, Trump supporters are indignant (and right to be) about the bipartisan cartel’s erasure of the southern border and their preference for unskilled Third World labor over their own citizenry, but “anger” is not the defining quality of a Trump night out. The candidate is clearly having the time of his life, and that’s infectious, which is why his supporters are having a good time, too. Had Mitt campaigned like this, he’d be president. But he had no ability to connect with voters. Nor does Jeb (”I’ve been endorsed by another 27 has-beens”) Bush.”
Wonderful!
Mark’s observation about Trump’s local GOP support:
So if, as some of the dottier rumors suggest, the Republican establishment is planning to run third-party if Trump gets the nomination, it’s not clear how much of the state apparatus they’ll be taking with them. “If Trump were the nominee, the GOP would cease to be,” declares Michael Gerson. The state legislators and volunteers present on Thursday would disagree.
Agree, Steyn is a writer nonpareil.
Bump
‘I good read.’
Or maybe, ‘I read good’?
I loved the point on the prep - no staff. I had a relative who voted for Slick Willie because he was the youngest candidate. I’m thinking of supporting the candidate with the smallest staff - it means he thinks for himself.
