To the author's credit, she did include this sentence: "Not surprisingly, gun advocates haven't embraced the efforts of Smart Tech and others. Smart guns are a slippery slope leading to gun control, some feel. Gun enthusiasts have raised questions about the reliability of the guns -- what if there was a technological glitch when you needed to defend yourself? "

But overall, she puts her faith in Silicon Valley entrepreneurs to come up with safe guns.

For those who are baffled...

Of course people don’t want to buy them. Let me fill some of you in on the obvious. If corporations are willing to make “smart” weapons, state legislators will introduce bills to make the manufacturing of non-”smart” weapons illegal. Then, state legislators will introduce bills to outlaw possession non-”smart” weapons. It’s yet another way to try to take weapons away from all who are not degreed, licensed and approved.

The big call from the elite behind the political scenes is for weapons that rely on biometrics (fingerprints, retina scans, etc.) for use exclusively by those allowed to use them.

Remington made a microprocessor controlled rifle years go. Lock time was super fast, but you still depended on batteries.

I believe it was Peter Hathaway Capstick who said the most terrifying sound in the world is when the rifle goes “click” when you need it to go “Bang!”

If carpenters built houses the way programmers write programs, the first termite that came along would mean the end of the world as we know it.

Now, if you believe “smart guns” are the wave of the future, Obonzo should mandate their use by all FedGov LEOs and the Armed Forces. Then, sit back and watch how fast POTUS is relieved of his job.

Yep - one pundit was saying how they could be locatable like phones and cars - wide open door for those who want you gone to say, "He's armed!" and blow you away...

Was happy to see FOX acting a bit conservative yesterday - Allen-the-Lib Colmes was saying how there's such a small percentage of terrorists coming in with refugees that it's no reason to shut down our borders and keep them out.

A couple of the ladies asked how he knew the percentage because the government sure ain't keeping accurate tabs, hence San Bernardino... Then a male said that if one would use Obama's logic about guns - if we can stop even one incident... - then it follows that Obama should use that same logic on refugees/terrorists - if we can stop one terrorist, then all the rest is worth it.

They then managed to all agree that Obama's last concern is to protect the People and he wants to control them instead...

Those of us who actually believe what we say can actually make a difference by acting like we believe it...

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit.

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

I will not buy one, for several reasons. One, it will lead to more oppression in New Jersey for gun owners who remain in that cesspit if these come up for sale. Two, it is a certainty that such ‘smart guns’ will be monitored, tracked, and probably built to be shut down by the government at such time as the government feels necessary. Three, there is no actual need for it. Guns are mechanical devices that perform their function just fine as they are now. No need for an Ipistol
