Eleanor Darragh, mother of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% , was born in Delaware on Nov. 23, 1934, establishing her citizenship by birth-and, according to U.S. law, that of her son, even though he was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on Dec. 22, 1970.

His theory is to change the electoral dynamic by activating the huge numbers of evangelicals that sit out the presidential elections. The idea has been supply them with a candidate they can really support, and they will show up in large enough numbers that the democrat coalition will be overwhelmed, even with the usual margin of cheating.
Is it a good theory? I think he’s got a shot at making it work. He certainly has me on board.

I don’t understand when we finally have best candidate of my life time fascination for Trump. trumpees, lie for him, defend everything he does, and think he is all that because he is Alinsky. I would never trust him for SCOTUS appointments or federal judges. After he trashed Scalia I would vote Gilmore before I would vote for Trump.
If he is the nominee don’t you think snakehead and the clinton machine will return the favor and let out a whole lot of dirt on Trump and his sex history? And the stories about how many companies he screwed out of money, and employees he screwed and how many women he screwed.

I’m sure that the cumulative effect of Trump’s nasty and lowbrow innuendos will cause many people who support him to change their minds on Trump.

That’s what I find very weird about Trump. He’s ultra rich, even if he’s doubling his income when he brags. Yet he’s incredibly petty and malicious towards others. He’s beloved by his supporters for speaking his mind. But when he does it’s usually a sweeping generalization that is not true, a school yard insult, a boorish bragging about his wealth, and some platitude that is meaningless. Oh yes, he’ll get the Mexican Government to pay for a wall on our border. He’ll make the Red Chinese do what he says because that’s not going to be a problem. They tend to do what foreign leaders tell them to do. He’s really out there and untethered from conservatism and reality.

Well, unlike Trump, he can run well against the weak politician and really aging Hillary. Cruz has always opposed the Clintons, liberalism, and those who are co-opted by it. He’s not compromised ever, like Trump. Trump has funded the Clintons. He’s hobnobbed with them, even having them at his third or fourth wedding. He’s has praised them saying Hillary would make a great president and Bill’s sexual harassment (perjury and obstruction of justice) was “totally unimportant.” At his core, Cruz could never say or do these things. For Trump, it’s all situational and all about his vanity. Character still matters. Cruz has it.
