Eleanor Darragh, mother of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% , was born in Delaware on Nov. 23, 1934, establishing her citizenship by birth-and, according to U.S. law, that of her son, even though he was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on Dec. 22, 1970.

The Cruz for President campaign provided Breitbart News exclusively with the birth certificate.

I don’t think he’s really Scottish. I think he’s from Russia and is pretending to be Scottish. DNA tests are needed to find out what part of Russia he is from.

Why is this an issue? It was a given that she was born in the US and was a US citizen. What has changed?

Nothing has changed. It is just something that the Clinton machine might bring up.

He keeps saying no one else is a citizen.

Actually he isn't. How many times does it have to be hammered into the heads of the ignorant masses that the only comments Trump made regarding Cruz were in answers to the questions posed by the very MSM that is attempting to destroy every Republican candidate out there?

I don’t think they’d want Trump to run. I think that Madison, Jefferson, Hamilton, Franklin, and certainly Washington would never want a Reality TV star to be president of the USA, especially when he’s never even held any elected office. Clearly, they’d be very troubled by such a dilettante.

Where do they say this differently at? Did they tell Trump? You know Lincoln said you cannot believe everything you read on the internet, so don’t listen to all of Trump’s New Age constitutionalism.

A document uncovered by Breitbart News indicates that the parents of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97%
were named on a Calgary list of electors for Canada’s federal election of July 8, 1974.

Two nuts were walking down the street. One was a salted. The other was Trump.

Here's an easy question for you:

If Trump gets the nomination, are you going to vote for him or stay home?

I thought the issue was where Ted was born, not his mother.

Well, I read a post today that said one would have to register the birth with the US government.

You should register the birth, but are not required to - just as you should file a birth certificate with the county. To not do so can cause problems later trying to get a driver's license, SS card, etc., because it is harder to prove your status without documentation.

No, it is not legally necessary for both parents to be US Citizens. This is indisputable and no one with any knowledge or experience with this question would say that.

Indisputable, well that settles it, all you have to do is ignore plain English and the Constitution. Cruz will not be president and it will have nothing to do with NBC it has to do with likability. He is about as likable as people like you that exist solely to try and make him look better by Trashing Trump. We will know in 3 weeks if your efforts were wasted or not.

Very correct. His mother’s birth certificate only indicates that his mother is a US citizen. The FS-240 is the real document needed to close the argument.

Trump said a long time ago that it wasn’t an issue and that Ted Cruz was a citizen eligible for president.

If Ted Cruz had a ‘poor showing in the polls’ Trump wouldn’t have gone after him.

Trump is an egoist and cannot stand others gaining on him. Look back at what he did to Ben Carson when Ben was doing well in the polls.

If his mother was a U.S. citizen at the time he was born, that’s what counts. Just because she happened to be out of the country at the time doesn’t matter.
