Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler told U.S. News and World Report Wednesday that a potential lawsuit by Grayson is ‘patent nonsense,’ and added that he has examined Eleanor Cruz’s U.S. birth certificate and maintained that she never became a Canadian citizen.
‘Eleanor Cruz, like Ted Cruz, has never breathed a single breath of her life not being a U.S. citizen,’ Tyler told the magazine, adding that Grayson would not even have legal standing to bring a lawsuit against Cruz.
“Standing” is court doctrine to whittle down lawsuits they don’t want to hear. It’s not law. Any judge can waive this or make something up and hear a case. Plenty of liberal judges out there that were put in place by Obama who would entertain such a suit.
Cruz was a dual citizen, and DE supposedly said they could not find his mom’s BC, so no matter, this will be discussed, even if it is all about nothing.
How did he examine that birth certificate when no one can find a record of it? And if there is one, how does that prove she did not become a Canadian citizen?
