A federal appeals court has rejected an appeal by former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin, who was convicted in 2014 on corruption charges.
The 5th Circuit's U.S. Court of Appeals in a decision filed Thursday upheld Nagin's conviction
Nagin, a Democrat who served from 2002 to 2010, was convicted on charges of wire fraud, bribery, money laundering and filing false tax returns. ...

He was convicted in 2014 and sentenced to 10 years in federal prison. So unless Obama pardons him, that means no parole, and he doesn’t get out until 2024.
