Nice area to grow up in back then, no troubles. Have you been back to the area recently? A little different now. I live near the airport, haven’t been to Ford City or Scottsdale shopping centers in years, wouldn’t want to shop there now.
I drove past our house in 2006 -the last time I went to Chicago. It seemed to be maintained but whole feeling was so strange. Made me sad.
I remember the day Ford City opened - the first indoor mall. We shopped at Jewel, Walgreens, and Goldblatt’s in Scottsdale. I wouldn’t go there these days, either.
