No passport, no flight: Driver's licenses from five states will no longer be valid to board a domestic plane under law cracking down on terrorists and criminals accessing fake IDs
Fliers from five non-compliant states in America will soon not be able to use their driver's license to board domestic flights.
The ruling, which comes under the Real ID Act passed 10 years ago, is down to states not complying to the stricter standards for state-issued IDs given by the government.
Fewer than half (22) of the states have complied with the recent law, and while the other states are pending review, five states - Illinois; Minnesota; Missouri; New Mexico and Washington - have been deemed non-compliant, with no review pending.

Have yourself a great day FRiend! :)
banana republic
n.
A small country that is economically dependent on a single export commodity, such as bananas, and is typically governed by a dictator or the armed forces.
A passport required for internal travel? How Soviet!
Good, it will be easy to track down the illegal invaders once we get a real President hell bent on enforcing the rule of law and deport these scum.
I say issue the heck out of them and get ready to turn the database over to either the Cruz or Trump administration.
And you Trumpbots do not come back and hammer me about Cruz not willing to deport. I ain't in the mood for it.
Driver’s licenses aren’t worth much as ID for boarding a plane if you are looking for security.
In the years following 9-11-2001, numerous incidents were exposed of corrupt figures within license bureaus knowingly permitting men of middle eastern origin to obtain authentic driver’s licenses with falsified information (names, address, etc.). The IDs were not forgeries, they were genuine, the information was bogus but would be permitted to board a plane or rent a car.
I wonder if it is possible that the DMVs in these five states are just trying to reduce crime. Trying to reduce sexual assault, much in the same manner Obama is trying to reduce gun violence.
Ya Think?
Yep, treachery most foul. The Obama way.
And they can vote thanks to Bubba’s Motor Voter law!
California needs to be added to this list now that they have started issuing driver’s licenses and voter registrations to foreign nationals in order to raise revenue.
Or obamacare penalties
Watch for this to sneak through to bite all those people who think they can just ignore the obamacare tax
There is no mark with a chip
Same with New York State. Waiver but will run out.
That’s because terrorists might blow up a plane a Democrat is flying on, but on the plus side they can count on them to vote D.
>>Nothing like an internal passport. Meanwhile borders are wide open.
Exactly. Bears repeating.
Thanks for posting this. I didnt know that. It’s always good to know what the REAL reason is for goobermint action.
Ted Cruz should introduce a bill mandating that all polling stations be located aboard 747’s.
You need a “Real” Government to take a crap. But not to vote. The catch there is that you vote Democrat. Start voting Republican and the Government will put so many i.d.s on you a freight train won’t be able to carry them.
I sure don’t care. I have rearranged my life and never as long as I live will I ever step onto any airport property. I have no plans to leave the contiguous United States and if I want to go to Alaska I just board a ferry that by passes any port in Canada. I am one of those folks who has no interest in actually setting foot in ANY foreign country.
Remember that next time you are tempted to thank a veteran for your freedom.
Correction:
The licenses CA issues to non-citzens are CURRENTLY not like the oneâs the rest of us have.
