Gun violence kills about 30,000 Americans every year and mass shootings -- extremely rare in most countries -- have been on the rise in the United States. According to tracking website gunviolencearchive.org, there were 330 mass shootings in the United States last year, up from 281 in 2014.

More people die every year in slip and fall accidents than in the inflated, often repeated 30K “gun-related” deaths. I guess we should ban walking!
Car accidents kill far more people. Could probably say smartphones kill way more than guns.
Best solution to gun violence is complete annihilation of the 3% of the us population responsible for 75% of the violent crime and murder in the country. Ovrnight national safety would be improved incredibly.
More people die from drug overdoses.
