And don't you be a dummy. I was just pointing out the huge swings in this poll. Nothing more. There are ALWAYS swings in day to day polls. That's why polls poll for several days straight and then give you the average number. This poll just doesn't do the averaging. It just gives you the last number at the end of five days. Since every number is higher than it was 5 days ago, Trump's numbers are up.

After jumping 12 on New Years day. Don't be a dummy. He's 5 points up from where he was before the 5 day polling period. His 5 day rolling average on January 1 was 48%. His 5 day rolling average today was 41.7% So his 5 day rolling average has dropped 6 points in the last 5 days. Right?

His 5 day rolling average on January 1 was 48%. That's not an average! It's the ONE DAY results. It was 36 the previous day. You understand that, don't you?

It didn’t make big news, that’s for sure. And if you factor Margin of Error, quite possible he was at 50. Any other candidate, that would have been all you heard about.

If you go to the Reuters site and click on 1/1 you see him in the mid 40s. I think it was 48.

Yeah Phil, I think Trump and Cruz are going through a necessary dance here, but I keep going back to those two meetings they had in June in NYC. You don't meet for a total of 3 hours with a competitor unless you are working out ground rules. I continue to think they agree to, as much as possible, NOT attack each other (and they've pretty much held to that), that if Trump was the nominee Cruz would agree to consider either AG or veep slot; that if Cruz won Trump would agree to bow out graciously and support him.
And I think that is exactly what's playing out.

Isn’t there something significant about 42%?
Can someone explain that?

I can’t figure out why Carson still polls at 10%.

"I can't figure out why Carson still polls at 10%." I played with the filters at Reuters, "registered", "likely" etc., and Carson holds about 10% in all of them.

Junk Poll. This Reuters poll never correlates with any of the other polls. Trump supporters can delude themselves with this poll if they want. However, it is worth about as much as me pulling numbers out of a hat.
