But Trump hasn't changed a syllable of his language (and I'd accept, his core values) since forever
That doesn’t even make sense.
I really like what Trump says lately, so I understand your support of Trump, but to question Cruz here is silly and misguided.
Ha! I didn't catch that. I only noticed that they chose the split screen image with Rubio as the implicit opponent.
Ted Cruz is the 4th largest recipient of wall street money of all the candidates. He is not going to do anything to stop the cheap labor express. You are fooling yourself into thinking Ted Cruz will build even a mile of wall. He won’t.
What Ted Cruz will do is attempt to enforce the current immigration laws and hope a lot of the illegals self deport. Then the rest he will allow Congress to grant amnesty to. So its better than what we have now but it will still not be good. The flow of illegals will continue because donors have paid for it.
That one shot is of Romney at the high-school stadium in Defiance, Ohio. I used to live in the area.
Romney coming was no doubt the most exciting thing to happen in Defiance since the Mail Pouch barn got repainted.
I personally saw Dan Quayle turn Napoleon on it’s ear.
We have a crisis on illegal immigration. Neither party is serious about stopping it. I strongly oppose illegal immigration. I categorically oppose amnesty. I support legal immigrants who come here supporting the American Dream.
I come from the perspective of someone who spent much of my adult life in law enforcement. In a post-9/11 world, it is absolutely unacceptable that we don't know who comes over our borders. We need to do everything humanly possible to secure the borders. Electronic surveillance, a wall, helicopters and, most importantly, boots on the ground. If elected, the first thing I will do is triple the U.S. Border Patrol.
That’s Senate candidate Ted Cruz, speaking to Dustin Siggins in May 2012 in an interview for … HotAir.com. Three years before the GOP presidential primary got going, he was calling for a border wall in the border state of Texas. And not just parts of Texas, either. As Cruz made clear in a Senate primary debate that year, he wanted the entire Texas border walled off — even if it meant invoking one of Trump’s favorite federal powers, eminent domain, to do it.
Did you see the actor that looked like George Soros in the ad? He’s wearing a tan suit.
Do you realize what piddling pocket change $644,000 is compared to what the legal industrial complex contributes to political campaigns? Do you realize that there might even be a handful of them on our side?
Look, there is a lot of things I like about Donald Trump, but being a billionaire and able to self-finance much of your own campaign should not be the only criteria for running for public office.
I'm not one of those Cruzers who will stay home and pout if Donald Trump wins the nomination fair and square. But I don't think it is unfair to point out the issue similarities between him and Mitt Romney, whom nearly everybody on this forum had no problems piling on .
Don’t confuse the beginning of his ad war with his long-time. He ran against DEWHURST in the 2012 election when trump was criticizing Gov. Romney for being too mean to illegal immigrants.
He hasn’t always been a “government lawyer.” He was in private practice for about 7 years. For a 44 year old man who didn’t get out of law school till he was 25 or so, that represents a good chunk of his career.
Ted Cruz was calling for a border wall back in 2011. It is hardly Trump’s idea although he takes credit for it. I will say that Trump’s name recognition brought attention to the issue.
And no Morrocan immigrants.
You got the news late. Santorum actually won Iowa by 34 votes. Yep. Count ‘em. 34 votes.
Oh please, are we going to get into an argument about whether it is piss or urine?
What the definition of sex is?
What the definition of the word is is?
Cruz was talking about a wall years ago, the same time Trump was palling around with Hilary and Bill.
Cruz made an issue of the border WALL in his successful run against Dewhurst for the Senate. Cruz was for the Wall and Dewhurst opposed it.
Ther is a difference. A great big one. Live with it.
I was discussing this with some people and this comment caught my attention “I may buy tickets to go to the circus, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to vote for the clown.”
I tend to think that it’ also a bit of “You’ve heard about the night that Trump went insane and started ranting about aliens and the Illuminati, well I was there” kind of thing.
“Any man left on the Rio Grande, is the King of the World, as far as I know.”
