Why don’t you just come out and say you don’t think Reagan was a conservative, so we have that on the record, instead of beating around the bush?
There is no such thing as unilateral all encompassing conservative.
There are social conservatives.
There are fiscal conservatives.
There are military conservatives.
There are environment conservatives.
There are immigration conservatives.
There are religious conservatives.
Based on record alone, Reagan was a fine conservative on social and military and environment issues. Since he gave amnesty to millions of illegals, he flunks immigration conservatism. And since he failed to veto excessive growth in federal spending, he gets a mediocre grade on fiscal issues. I do not remember Reagan’s agenda on religious issues.
