The Chinese and the US are merely putting of the inevitable crash. They’ve been playing games for the past 7 years and it must come home to roost eventually.
Off shoring MANUFACTURING from the USA to the third world is because of cheap or almost free labor. Not regulations, not taxes.
No one knows for sure, but there are reasonable possibilities.
If you’ve never read G. Edward Griffin’s, “Creature from Jekyll Island,” I recommend it highly. Most of what we are seeing occur economically is due to our monetary policy (central banking and fiat-based currency). His history and analysis is truly eye-opening and forced me to change how I understand a lot of history and current events. At the end of that book, Griffin offers several scenarios.
I think the following is a fairly generalized scenario:
If we continue on our debt path (I don’t see how we can really get off it), eventually no one will ‘lend’ the US government money (T’s, bonds, etc.). The gov. will have to cut back some, that will cause social unrest. The gov. will also raise taxes. That will hurt businesses, who will have to lay off workers, adding to the problem. All of this won’t give the gov. enough money to operate. The Fed will create more money and essentially give it to the gov. This will reduce the purchasing power of the USD and continue to lower faith in the USD.
Eventually, the USD will be dropped as the world’s reserve currency. Since we no longer significantly export manufactured goods the way we did, and our credit will be shot, we will have no national means of income/credit. Eventually, the USD becomes fairly worthless.
When that happens, and with the US now a limping wastrel, the powers that be will propose a global currency. Well, that’s what the effect will be, but the IMF or BIS will probably use a basket of national currencies at first to make all countries feel like they are sovereign and that their currency is still alive and well.
With the global currency (perhaps digital) will come centrally planned economies at the global level, “for the good of everyone and to ensure that the greed of a few people does not harm others.”
Since I'm a Christian I also see some of dynamics fitting into place the Bible speaks of would come, though I don't go out into left field searching for things under rocks etc. Still I often wondered how the USA could possibly loose it's position on the World Stage, but it's pretty obvious to me it's power would have to lessen in order for Europe and other Eastern Nations to line up as they are.....our "footprint" over there has oftentimes been what has kept the peace and things moving out of control......However since the Islamists chose to attack our nation directly at 9'11 and prior the entire world stage has changed....and it hasn't helped with Obama at the helm assisting them to pull off even more.
At any rate I think we'll be "included" with whatever plays out once the Global Institutions are in place.....but I don't think we will be able to afford the envolvments as before other than possibly our Military being used as it's built back up....
I fear that for that our nations men will be used on the International scenes to fight and keep the peace of the world.....as we see Obama already sending them to "train" the very nations that want to harm us.
TPP attests to that truth ...sitting on Jeff Sessions desk. Which is very likely already outdated.
You’re quite welcome. That’s what we’re here for, to teach each other however we can, discuss issues to deepen our understanding, and to bolster one another to step out and defend our country and Constitution.
I agree with your observations. It concerns me that America (or any type of American power) is not mentioned in the Bible and Revelations. Do we just fade away until we are nothing? Are we taken out by an EMP and reduced to the Dark Ages? Only God knows (literally).
If the scenario I outlined plays out, you are right, all will have of value is our military. We’d become the world’s policemen. What concerns me about that is that, for the most part, I believe our military personnel support our Constitution and would not follow orders to attack US citizens. But if America declines and we become little more than a global police force, patriots will not want to join the military, which leaves those who just want to wear a badge and control people in the “US military.” I believe that type would follow UN (or whomever is the controlling body) orders to attack US citizens.
Let’s pray that these events don’t come to pass and that the good Lord brings us through these times — what I view as a half century of America’s Dark Ages already underway.
This election matters far beyond any other of this nation.....either we get the right man in who understands the dynamics of Government workings and International affairs.....or we will continue to become a lesser power because the International Leaders are not going to mess around waiting for a newbee to get up to par that they don't want to deal with and see as a fool.
I don't think we'll fade into nothing because we are still a nation that moves revenue to the world stage. But that is fast coming to crisis mode and the International Leaders know it.....therefore I can see this nation becoming a weapons producing nation as means of surviving monetarily, and which will fuel the wars erupting over there...which I believe will continue to escalate....that may indeed create the framework for us being the World's police force.
Maybe it didn’t make sense, but it sure made dollars for all those guys who got commissions for setting up those no doc and liar loans. Have you seen The Big Short yet? Let me know your thoughts after you see it.
As caww points out the Americas did no exist when Revelations was written. However, since history tends to repeat itself, and it referred to Rome, and we are the Rome of today, then the lessons are there to be interpreted and paid attention to if we do not want to be doomed to repeat them. Since yesterday, the Middle East situation has taken a distinct turn for the worse. Saudi embassy burned in Iran, SA, Bharain, Sudan, and UAE cutting or reducing diplomatic relations with Iran. SA stampede killing more than 400 Iranians including important clerics, and still no truth on the numbers dead. SA seems to be taking reckless steps since their kind died. Turks killing Kurds on Iraqi territory.
Question: How will this affect Israel, or do they get to sit with their popcorn and watch? The times are definitely getting more interesting.
I think it looks more like Europe as it's shaping up...along with the ME nations who are all shaping up to be powerful entities of groups and economic associations.
I do believe the US has tried to control things over there but it's obvious lost grip throughout the Obama administration...willingly so I'll add. So the nation leaders are moving forward with only a courtesy nod to the US in many cases....or in order to maintain our military presence as they cannot defend themselves. Before Obama took office all the G-20 and other European and Eastern meetings and gatherings were being hosted primarily in Russia......of course as a means of inclusion of Russia at that time, but the USA was pushed back even then as the Europeans and East basked in their new independence and establishing their own means of gathering together. .....then there was Ukraine which rallied the Baltic nations and others to come crying for protection...and Obama leveraging and they leveraging back for all to get what they wanted. It does seem when the USA is pushed to the sidelines there sees to be another conflict errupting over there which causes the nations to run here for help.

“Saudi embassy burned in Iran” — that’s an odd way to put it. Iran incited and recruited rioters to ransack and destroy the embassy of Saudi Arabia. The only differences between what the same regime did in 1979 and now is, they didn’t take hostages, their victims weren’t Americans, and they’ve just pushed the wrong buttons. The only reason it has come up short of war is, Iran hasn’t closed the sealanes using missiles based in Eritrea, and soon, in Yemen.
Some Saudi cleric claimed that ISIS is made up of Israelis (yeah, that makes perfect sense) but that’s not any big change over libels that always pour out of muzzie countries. Israel knows what Obama is, and also knows their misery will be over in, at most, not much more than a year. The next few elections in countries of the EU are going to go badly for everyone who doesn’t want to live under jihad and shariah (which are interchangeable).
By contrast, Erdogan in Turkey now says Israel needs Turkey and Turkey needs Israel — IOW, he’s finally figured out that Iran was playing him during the recent years when he’s been acting like he’s a mighty leader of the muzzie world. Like the House of Saud, he knows the Obama regime has aligned with Iran (or more accurately, has appeared to align with Iran; early in his first term, Zero have his ridiculous speech in Cairo; bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia; in his second term he expressed solidarity with Erdogan *after* the so-called blockade runner ship fiasco offshore of Israel), dumped all other allies (including Egypt, where Zero helped orchestrate Mubarek’s overthrow, and Libya, where, well...), and can’t be trusted with a burned out match.
Thanks I will. Dodd and Frank along with Clinton are the fathers of all this.
The banks outsmarted them by securitizing the mortgages into pools and selling pieces to investors. Crooks.
are there any safe haven investment funds out there that anyone knows about?
thanks
‘I’ve never seen such control of our press as weâve witnessed in the last couple of decades.....’
The press was even more tightly controlled back when we only had 3 TV stations and there was next to no activity on the early internet. C-Span was a huge breakthrough at the time.
What is happening now is a greater awareness of what had been going on all along.
We have a really complicated situation with Turkey, Russia and Kurds. Kurd activists in Turkey tend to be Russia oriented. Kurds in Iraq tend to be US oriented. Turkey has to walk a careful line here if it doesn’t want to make unnecessary enemies. They have already shot down a Russian military plane. They need to be careful with their incursions into northern Iraq, where Kurds have been our most reliable ally in Iraq.
“Kurds have been our most reliable ally in Iraq”... yeah, and that means *what* to Zero, Lurch, Plugs, and the rest of the criminal underclass ruining the country?
