Meh, just find some really loaded goyim whose Bible commands them to fork over the goods so they can be transferred to China.

Problem solved..!

IMHO Israel needs some advanced fighters to keep Iran at bay,but should spend out the wazoo for A10 style ground pounders since they are more at risk from ISIS and minor armies.

That copper colored thing on the exhaust end.

Is that for vectoring thrust?

Israel has no problem developing a [Fill in this blank space with about anything]

Jews are very able! They can create pretty much anything that is needed.

It was basically a bunch of Jewish scientists that created the first nuclear weapons.

Imagine how different the world would be if the millions of Jews killed in WW2 had survived. There had to be a lot of Nobel quality minds eliminated in that horrific episode. :-(

What might have been..... think of the millions of offspring that never were. :-(

Never Again!

May God bless and protect the state of Israel!

no... look at as a choke on a shotgun, close it up and the the thrust is more concentrated with less power, open it up with the burner lit for max thrust

Afterburner - Lavi never had vectored thrust. As with most afterburner equipped craft, the nozzle irises wider to allow the ‘burner to work better.

Tell me the truth about Jews and money...as you know it...

It's really very simple, money often comes to smart people. The smarter you are the more likely you are to have a high income.

There are also people who are very smart and care little about amassing wealth... they simply have no time to waste on the pursuit of riches. Steve Wozniak is this sort of guy.... he became wealthy because Jobs made it happen for him... Woz just wanted to do engineering.

Not just money in the straightforward sense, but also cost effectiveness and 'most-bang-for-the-buck' especially in the face of budgetary (and political) considerations.

Let's say a F-15 costs X Dollars, and it's effectiveness in a war is 100 'units.'

Let's assume Israel can build a plane that costs X+Y Dollars (more expensive than the F-15), and that has an effectiveness of 115 units (more 'effective' than the F-15, and whether by effective I mean in terms of combat, or ease of maintenance, or specific viability to the mission set Israel would use it for, really doesn't matter here ...just that it is more effective but at greater cost).

Finally, let's assume that the nation states that are adjacent to Israel and could be threats have planes that have an effectiveness level of 75 units.

Under such a scenario, Israel will never develop its own planes. It can get a F-15, which is cheaper than any indigenous plane Israel could come up with, and still more effective than any enemy fighter (for a real like situation, look at the Japanese F-2 and compare it with a F-16. Slightly more capable, especially at the time since Vipers didn't have AESA radars then, but vastly more expensive). Throw in political considerations (eg pressure from the US for Israel not.to develop a F-16 competitor in THE LAVI) and budgetary considerations, and Israel will never produce a plane unfortunately.

I’ve spent a career in the military-industrial business. For three years I was the engineering manager of Talla-Com Industries which was, at the time owned by Tadiran, which, at the time was an Israeli owned company. Israeli equipment was superior in every way. It was more innovative and the companies were more risk tolerant in trying new concepts and innovations. Their engineering staff had a firm basis in theory which led them to rapid designs and proof-of-concept solutions. Although it was sometimes annoying, there was easier communications as the lowliest engineer felt it was his obligation that the president hear him out. That never happened in an American company that I was aware of.

So, money is the big obstacle. On the other hand, lack of money drives innovation too.

For example, Israel is the world’s largest innovator and producer of drone aircraft. The US military buys several of their products. Drones are cheap and disposable and, most importantly, they don’t risk a pilot who could become a hostage.

If I had to go to war and I could pick any hardware in the world, I’d probably pick Israeli made products.
