Ted Cruz Gets Biblical as He Rallies Campaign for 2016: ‘We’re Winning and It Terrifies Them’
Independent Journal Review ^ | January 1, 2016 | Justin Green

Posted on 01/01/2016 8:32:30 AM PST by Isara

Sen. Ted Cruz enjoyed a banner end to 2015, building a strong argument for being the top movement conservative in the Republican presidential race.

But on New Year’s Eve, he was looking ahead to future battles. The Texas Republican told a conference call for 56,817 of his volunteers, according to The Blaze:

We're winning right now. And as a result, I want to tell everyone: Get ready. Strap on the full armor of God. Get ready for the attacks that are coming."

He added a warning:

"We ain't seen nothing yet. ... In the month of January, we are going to see millions if not tens of millions of attacks - of TV commercials, radio, of social media, of mailers," Cruz said. "And actually as it gets closer and closer to election day, it's going to get uglier and uglier and uglier."

Then he dropped the big line of the call:

"We're winning and it terrifies them - you terrify them."

Cruz noted that he believes the primary will have been decided by the end of March, according to CNN.

A number of southern states have primaries on March 1, and Cruz has been aggressively organizing these states for strong performances among the deeply conservative voters in the region.

Cruz reportedly raised nearly $20 million in the last quarter of 2015, bringing his year-end total to more than $45 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

He is in second place in the RealClearPolitics average of GOP presidential polls, and with strong fundraising and a huge volunteer army, he looks set to take stab at the Republican nomination.

Trump was in some contract relationship with the WWE for awhile. I still think of him as a wrestling promoter.

If it gets down to Hillary and Trump, Hillary will have an entire montage of Trump wrestling clips, Better grow a thicker skin.

Yo, conservativehate, I'M A CRUZER, YOU STUPID BUSTARD.

I won't need a thicker skin, because if it goes that way, Trump will have an entire montage of klintooon blowjobs, rape victims, stealing from the klintoon foundation, etc.

Trump is only my second choice, TED CRUZ is my candidate, but unlike you, you stupid bustard, my skin, thick or thin has nothing to do with my ability to think.

Not sure why you get so angry at someone for posting a picture of Trump. It’s not like it’s photo-shopped. It had already been posted by another Freeper on another thread anyway. Chill.

I’m going to type the complete passage in question. Please show me anywhere that it says it is only for the defense of our personal faith. What I see is that it is to be used against all of the devil’s schemes. To say it only applies to personal spirituality means denying that the devil schemes in any other way - he doesn’t scheme in families, in communities, in the media, in politics, in the mafia and other lawless ways, etc. I just don’t see that anywhere in Scripture. Instead, I see a Satan in Scripture who uses EVERY area of life to attack us - wherever he can get a foothold, and as soon as we say he would NEVER attack us in one area of our life we can be sure that will be the area in which he takes us captive (if we don’t bring our armor into that area of life):

Here’s the passage:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of the dark world and against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you maay be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert alnd always kleep on praying for all the saints.”

Ephesians 6:10-18

Truth always matters. The whole post-modern thing of each person having their own truth is suicidal; there’s no way a society can survive when most people actually believe that. Was it Ronald Reagan who said that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not to their own facts? Well, the inverse of that has been accepted by a large segment of society, and as a result there is no integrity. It’s like trying to build a cabinet with rotted-out pressed wood. It won’t hold a screw soundly because it’s just mush. That’s our society, and yet there are those who say that as long as it’s the politicians saying that Deuteronomy is hate speech, it can’t be Satan telling the lie and we thus can’t use the armor of God to combat the lie. We live in a postmodern society and folks like Yuri Bezmenov have pointed out the systematic method of destroying the Christian fabric of this nation and its people: it involves powerful people who are supposedly outside the “spiritual” realm: educators, politicians, businessmen, media, etc.

They are winning, and I would say a lot of that is because we’re expecting the FAther of Lies to play a gentleman’s game of honoring the boundaries we say he can’t cross. It’s suicidal, but it’s what you see. Sometimes in places we should never see that.

Paul founded the Church at Ephesus over a period of nearly three years and it was one of the early churches still forming how to hold services, let alone maintain faith. In fact all Paul's letters to all the churches were about the same issues: defining faith and encouraging steadfastness.

Clearly, Paul writes in Ephesians that our "struggle is not against flesh and blood" - as in things of this world, rather it is against "spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." - where we are to store up our treasures.

It is all about our faith and staying in grace. That is why at the end Paul suggests "praying for all the saints." He does not say to organize church members to go out and correct the governance in Ephesus.

My battle is not against politicians but against the devil who owns and controls so many of the politicians.

I still need my full armor when I do battle with their master, and the battlefield will NOT just be in my mind, as if my own “spirituality” is all I’m living for. God has given me a world to love, and that means protecting and persevering for their sake. The point at which I refuse to do battle against Satan in whatever arena he enters is the point at which I tell my world to go to Hell.

I’m not ready to do that. I am ready to fight the good fight of faith IN EVERY AREA OF MY LIFE, and that includes “politics”, which is currently preaching lies to a very vulnerable generation. Satan is the father of lies. He steals, kills, and destroys, and we can see the effects on real people.

A good friend of our family has decided she’s lesbian. Within a few months of the SCOTUS ruling that government has to recognize and reward same-sex relationships, she has heard her church body say it’s “just politics” and that anybody who opposes same-gender marriage is hateful. She’s decided that God is not hateful and would never forbid something that feels good. She’s not able to sort out that she’s saying that child sacrifice is fine if it feels good, or mass murders, etc. She can’t think reasonably about it because she was never convinced by reasoning and a sound mind, but by a spirit of perversion. Who is behind that spirit of perversion? The same spirit of perversion that THE APOSTLE PAUL battled against in his letter to the Romans. You cannot tell me that this is not a spiritual battle, and SCOTUS has waded right into the middle of it. They are in the process of outlawing Christian faith. And as long as Christians just nod their heads and say it’s just worldly politics and not important to Jesus... we’re handing over to Satan people like this friend. We have become salt that is good for nothing except to be trodden underfoot. And people that we are supposed to love will go to Hell because of our refusal to confront Satan on his own territory.
