To regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes.

Yes, they really are coming for your guns, and they arenât being coy about it in the slightest.
A pathetic contingent of liberty-hating, anti-American Democrats have introduced H. R. 4269, âTo regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes.â
Yes, theyâve proposed a bill that directly counters the wording of the Second Amendment to the Constitution. They are that brazen in their hatred of your natural right to armed self-defense.
They would like to outlaw the vast majority of the best-selling rifles, shotguns, and handguns in the United States, any device or part that could âaccelerate the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle,â (which could mean literally anything depending on ATF interpretation), parts kits that enable citizens to build common firearms, and standard capacity magazines.
But they arenât done yet.
Unlike the 1994 âassault weaponâ ban, this one will make it âunlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault weapon.â
They intend to make it illegal to transfer any of the tens of millions of firearms that they would ban, with then specific intent of having all of these firearms be made illegal by simple attrition in the course of a generation.
You would not be allowed to pass down your firearms to your family members, nor would you be allowed to share them with family and friends at the range. When you died, your grandfathered guns would be made illegal, despite their clear and obvious utility as firearms useful for contemporary service in the militia.
This bill is nothing more or less than a direct assault on the Second Amendment.
They have a death wish!
With the increasing need for a well armed America, and current public sentiment, let alone that pesky Second Amendment, this Bill is going Nowhere.
Yes. I foresee more unfortunate canoeing accidents. Somebody was eventually going to say it.......
The Supreme Court affirms that rights are not unlimited, via DC. vs Heller, thanks again Scalia. :(
All of the MD reps cosponsored this bill. All but Andy Harris thank God.
Are they going to come up with a new way to define guns that are scary looking to them or are they going to use the same guidelines as the last ban that came and went and had no effect?
This would seem to be a taking without recompense: “â(t) (1) Beginning on the date that is 90 days after the date of enactment of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2015, it shall be unlawful for any person who is not licensed under this chapter to transfer a grandfathered semiautomatic assault weapon to any other person who is not licensed under this chapter, unless a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, or licensed dealer has first taken custody of the grandfathered semiautomatic assault weapon for the purpose of complying with subsection (s). Upon taking custody of the grandfathered semiautomatic assault weapon, the licensee shall comply with all requirements of this chapter as if the licensee were transferring the grandfathered semiautomatic assault weapon from the licenseeâs inventory to the unlicensed transferee, except that in applying paragraph (1)(B)(ii) of such subsection, â14â shall be substituted for â3â.
â(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to a temporary transfer of possession for the purpose of participating in target shooting in a licensed target facility or established range ifâ
â(A) the grandfathered semiautomatic assault weapon is, at all times, kept within the premises of the target facility or range; and
â(B) the transferee is not known to be prohibited from possessing or receiving a grandfathered semiautomatic assault weapon.
â(3) For purposes of this subsection, the term âtransferââ
â(A) shall include a sale, gift, or loan; and
â(B) does not include temporary custody of the grandfathered semiautomatic assault weapon for purposes of examination or evaluation by a prospective transferee.”
They should always remember that the amendment does not
specify the right of the people to keep and bear SIDE arms.
Crew served weapons make the heart glad.
Where it will join the " Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2005" through the "Assault Weapons Ban of 2013". (It's an odd-numbered year. The moonbat libs needed a Assault Weapons Ban before the end of the year.) In a couple of years, the Assault Weapons Ban of 2017 will join it.
(Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955), attributed: "Insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results".)
This bill will never pass.
If passed, never obeyed.
NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING WITH THIS CONGRESS!!!
I can easily see Ryan let this come to the floor or allow it to be attached to a “must pass bill”.

Where I wrote in brackets, semi-automatic rifle, make that semi-automatic firearm.
For the record, I have NOT lost any of my firearms in a boating accident. Not only that, but included in my “arsenal” are multiple .45s, 9mm, and even a *gasp* AR-15. I do intend to buy more, practice more, and encourage my family to do so as well. I will NOT comply. III%
I have had it with these traitors.
