'Super Pacs' Supporting Ted Cruz Plan $1 Million Advertising Buy
NY Times ^ | 12/31/2015 | Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Martin

A string of allied “super PACs” supporting the presidential campaign of Senator Ted Cruz of Texas is planning a $1 million television, digital and radio advertising buy in the early voting states, with the heaviest spending in Iowa, a spokeswoman for the group said.

The super PACs, both collectively and individually called Keep the Promise, are flush with cash, and this spending is the biggest investment in television advertising that any of them have made this year.

The ad buy includes television advertising in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. By midday Thursday, $700,000 was reserved for television time in Iowa, according to a person at a firm that tracks media spending.

Officials with the group would not say what type of ads would be aired or whether they would be positive about Mr. Cruz or negative about other candidates.

Super PACs pay much higher rates for advertising than candidates do, so the amount of airtime that the $1 million will go toward is far less than what campaigns can get. But candidates have typically relied on these outside groups to focus on attacking rivals.

“The year of Trump”

Spoken like a true slavish Tiger-Beat fan.

I can understand why you Trump fans aren’t “LOLing” much lately..in fact, you all seem pretty angry and agitated.

“Trump gets free ad time cause he’s a billionaire.”

That’s a ridiculous statement. He gets free airtime because he brilliantly plays the media, forcing them to cover him. He’s playing Alinsky’s playbook better than the liberals ever have.

Neither does Cruz. He will vote against TPP. He offered “poison Pill amendments to the Gang of 8 Bill offering legalization without citizenship because he knew that Dems would not accept anything less than full amnesty, and it would kill the bill. Jeff Sessions explained their strategy, too, and it worked. They totally bluffed out the Dems.

If I were Ted, I wouldn’t keep bragging about all the cash he’s raking in or what his “super pacs” are doing. He’s not hitting all those numbers with small donations therefore has money masters in the making.

$2 million a week, at this point in time, leading up to the first primaries, is actually a pretty moderate ad buy

$2 million per week -- for Trump especially -- is a TINY buy, and makes me wonder about his liquid asset levels

Well I’ve been viewing Trump in these videos and other venues of his appearances.....his delivery to voters is identical because he is an entertainer and he’s brought that indeed to his campaign run. And noteworthy is the masses in his “shows” and “Appearances” respond exactly the same to Trump as his campaign audiences..... It’s really interesting to see the similarities on ‘his interaction’ with his voters along side those of his otherwise audiences. The tactics are the same.

It makes Trump independent from donors

Billionaires donate to Cruz.
Cruz is evil.
Billiomnaires are evil.

Trump donates to Democrats
Trump is good.
Trum is a good billionaire.

Trump: The billionaire you can trust TM
He's not like the others.

Oh, they hate covering him. If you watch any of it, most are very nasty to him. A few are decent m because they have to have him on for ratings, not because they agree with him.

Do you really think the MSM is for deporting illegals and a moratorium on Muslims? They bash Trump repeatedly whenever they can.

It’s an addiction - they don’t want to talk about him, but can’t stop. It hilarious.
