A string of allied âsuper PACsâ supporting the presidential campaign of Senator Ted Cruz of Texas is planning a $1 million television, digital and radio advertising buy in the early voting states, with the heaviest spending in Iowa, a spokeswoman for the group said.
The super PACs, both collectively and individually called Keep the Promise, are flush with cash, and this spending is the biggest investment in television advertising that any of them have made this year.
The ad buy includes television advertising in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. By midday Thursday, $700,000 was reserved for television time in Iowa, according to a person at a firm that tracks media spending.
Officials with the group would not say what type of ads would be aired or whether they would be positive about Mr. Cruz or negative about other candidates.
Super PACs pay much higher rates for advertising than candidates do, so the amount of airtime that the $1 million will go toward is far less than what campaigns can get. But candidates have typically relied on these outside groups to focus on attacking rivals.

That doesn’t make him independent. He owns major assets in Istanbul, Dubai, and several other countries where socialist governments could put him in a world of financial hurt. Then too he and his contractors hire YUGE numbers of Mexicans for his hotels, golf courses, casinos, and construction business. After all, he wants to lower the minimum wage and bring back the current illegals as LEGALS on an expedited basis.
Jobs for Americans? Yeah, right.
You go girl!
This is just sad. Another Jesse Ventura candidate.
Trump gets free ad time cause he’s a billionaire.
Outsiders have to do more than just appear on TV to get their message out.
Please check out post 78 on this thread. LOL!
Thanks! Lol.
Is it possible Trump has unwittingly been a stalking horse for Teddy?
Yes, indeed, wrestling fans, we have a new Jesse Ventura candidate in the running!
No, but it doesn’t surprise me. What’s so wrong with having a Christian who is proud of his faith as president in 2016? Yeesh, we’ve had a demonic Muslim in the white hut for 8 years, I’ll gladly vote for a conservative Christian in 2016.
Ping a ling to #27 on this thread, yep that’s who we should elect as the leader of the Free World baby! {sarc}
PATHETIC!!! I don’t know whether to laugh or cry! Might as well laugh!
Been my fate since long before the famed Fred Thompson Fan Dance, never mind the more usual RINO Swan Dive (both McCain and Romney pulled that one).
As to the Donald Trump Immigration Screw Job, you might find this and this to be of some use to you. I'm pretty sick of it all, but this media charade behind Trump's got them all beat. As if people in the business of selling advertising couldn't figure out reverse psychology. Unbelievable how many of the lemmings are still a-glaze.
I'm not all sold on Cruz, believing he has a few possibly catastrophic character flaws (lack of repentance being one). Jury's out there.
How dare ANYBODY SAY THERE IS ANYTHING PHONY ABOUT Donald TRUMP. :):)
Yup, me, too!
Yep. Apparently some just want east coast billionaires in pink ties to be President.
I just can’t even...
LOL, no.
“So only the rick get to have any political power in the USA then?”

LOL, $1 million? Jeb spent $35 million and got nowhere.
Keep in mind that Cruz got some of this money from the gay lobby:
It’s not clear at this point what he promissed them. The meeting was behind closed doors.
Is there a single post where you don’t LOL...predictable. Happy New Year the year of Trump!
At least Trump didn’t support Obama’s trade deal legislation or legal status for illegals.
It makes Trump independent from donors - like the ones that make Cruz not utter the word ‘deport’ and use lawyer-speak words like ‘I don’t intend...’ to weasel out of what he knows his voters want to hear.
Trump is beholden to nobody.
Ted Cruz doesn’t = Jeb Bush. SO your comparison doesn’t work my friend.
Cruz has risen by spending a fraction of what Mr. Bush has.
As has Trump (largely on the free media he’s gained in his case),
However I believe Cruz will continue spending wisely, as he would with the Federal Budget when he’s President.
Just my 2.
