“Total Resistance” by Major H. Von Dach is well worth the read. It’s illustrative of the Swiss mindset.

As many here, at Free Republic, are doubtless aware, George Washington recommended to the Continental Congress that we adopt the Swiss system of arming the teenaged boys in the home with military grade rifles. He also showed a clear understanding of the psychological benefits to the armed boys in instilling so important a level of responsibility at a formative age.
The Founders demonstrated in many ways a deeper intellect than that possessed by our current "leaders."

Have a copy highly recommend it also Martino’s Resistance to Tyranny . When first published the Book Total Resistance was “frowned upon” by senior officers in the Swiss military but was whole heartedly & enthusiastically endorsed by the Swiss military NCO’s 8*)

âTotal Resistanceâ by Major H. Von Dach is well worth the read. Itâs illustrative of the Swiss mindset. You're right, but it is a little dated.
Try Feuerkampf und Taktik: Taktischer Schusswaffengebrauch im 21. Jahrhundert for something more recent. Amazon has it.
Even better: get both, and compare the two. That Swiss fighting mindset is still there.

That book was the textbook for the “Unconventional Warfare” course the Poli Sci department offered when I was in college.
Didn’t take the course, but did buy the book.
