Bah!
My pet goat can TRUMP her!
Let me put it in a different way. Take two options - one we assume you are correct, and she is easy to beat. Second we assume I am correct, and she is a monster than requires appropriate effort and preparation to defeat. If you're right then it is smooth sailing, however if you are wrong then we have Hillary Clinton as president. On the other hand, if I am right then at least we will have taken the adequate measures required to fend her off, but if I am wrong then all we did is over-prepare and thus no harm done.
I wish you are right and Hillary is a cake walk, but I know I am right and she is bloody formidable and a walking Liberal killing machine that walks into the fray with near-total Lib support, almost blanket media support, a VERY EFFECTIVE get-out-the-vote machine (an evolution of Obama's gotv system that ran circles around Romney's ORCA gotv system), and looking at the electoral map about 200 electoral college votes.
If your pet goat can beat that, then we need to be running Mr. He-goat since it is better positioned than 95% of the current GOP candidates. Seriously though, this is the election of a generation against the most formidable Dem candidate since JFK that learned the mistakes that cost her her run against Obama (another Dem monster many here ignored). And what I see is many FReepers saying Hillary will be easy to beat. You are far from alone Elsie in your belief, and I am definitely in the minority with mine.
However I was also in the minority when I warned about Obama in 2008 as well, and I can tell you this. The election is Hillary's to lose, she is not weak, she will not be arrested, she will not fumble (a quick watch of the many hours of her Benghazi testimony shows she can lie and obfuscate for hours on end), and she knows what she wants. She comes with the advantages I listed, ranging from the media to a lock in on 200 electoral votes. The only way the GOP wins is by putting someone against her that is largely immune to her attacks, and can put on a smack down of his own.
I hope you are right, but at least my way even if I am wrong and she is a weakling, at least the only bad effect is that we over prepare. I'd rather have a risk of over preparation than being smacked in the head by a Hillary win.
