I’m not sure about your assertion, for those specific words, maybe you are right that no one has called Cruz these things. They have certainly called him many other equally rude and unsubstantiated sobriquets. But, you have to remember that Trump is not “Hitler” or even “a Hitler”, neither is he a “Nazi”, nor a “dictator”, nor a “Demagogue”. These are opinions, as are the opinions stated about Cruz.. You may not like the opinions, and you might feel they are unwarranted, unsubstantiated and not factual, but they are only someone’s particular opinion brusquely stated.
As a supporter of Trump, you ought to be a bit tolerant of brusquely stated opinions, as he is notorious for them.
I do believe that the supporters of these two men ought to take the lead from their candidates and in the name of community take the edge off the harshness just a bit.
Fine, then I shall use them against Cruz and his supporters,then, shall I ?
How about such words as : moron, idiot, drunk, stupid, and worse hurled at Trump supporters out of the blue, sans contex?
And NO, Trump didn't call those who aren't planning on voting for him, "stupid". The end of his comments were cut off.
You need to pay more attention to threads here; you'll see that what I have claimed is true.

I only asked that people try to scale back the vitriol, but I see that you didn’t get my request.
As a Trump supporter, you are sensitive to attacks on your guy, I get that. But at the same time, I can tell you that I have been at the receiving end of many unwarranted, bitter, vitriolic, over the top attacks, some with name calling, some not, all by Trump supporters. I was guilty of the merest, mildest criticism, some of it actually imaginary. The truth is that I have no real issue with Donald Trump. I actually admire the guy and think his presence in the campaign has been important and positive. Still, I prefer a different candidate, as is my right, is it not? So I don’t align too well with your holier-than-thou attitude.
I only appeal for a more civil tone all round.
Finally, your reference to the end of Trump’s comments being cut off are lost on me: I am unfamiliar with any part of what you are referring to. I wonder if you are actually replying to the right message.
Just to give you a bit of perspective here are two recent examples of inappropriate posts to me by Trump supporters:
“Why don’t you take your crappy snot and shove it down your freaking throat. And then go out and get a life.”
“If you had had a brain, you would have foreseen the obvious reply. But you don’t have a brain, so you didn’t see it coming.”
It is a toning down of these sorts of posts that I am appealing for. To be sure, I had made critical comments, but not abusive ones. That’s what makes these responses inappropriate.
Yes, because what Sanatorum defines as a “Strong” Social conservatives is one who would ignore the Constitution to impose political dogmas favorable to Sanatorum’s religious views.
Cruz is, as he has always said, a Constitutional Conservative.

But if Trump acolytes can’t stand to see their man criticized and get personally nasty with posters who disagree, then either the dialog needs to be dialed back, or they need to lose the hypocrisy.

Trump people including me often refer to his imperfections, but Cruz supporters think Cruz hung the moon. Talk about hypocrisy!
I am unable to find anywhere I called anyone a jackass. There was this exchange where a Trump acolyte tried to demonstrate his wit with this clever turn of phrase:

Ha ha ha. Cruz supporters are liars and Trump supporters are truth tellers. Yeah, right.
Anyway, that insult and gratuitous disrespect led me to comment that the poster's jackassery was showing.
