The U.S. Secret Service stopped a man from flying a recreational drone alongside President Barack Obama’s motorcade in Hawaii, reports said late Monday. The incident occurred at 4:00 p.m., local time, (9:00 p.m. EST) and was brought under control within minutes.
The operator landed the drone near himself after agents from Secret Service approached him, ABC News reported. No arrests were made in the incident, which lasted only for a few seconds. Obama's motorcade also did not alter its speed or route. The president has been on vacation in Hawaii with his family since Dec. 19.

Sounds like they stopped the operator, not the drone. If the operator hadn’t been in plain sight, what would they have done?
It’s been years since someone plotted to attack the White House with an explosives-laden remote control plane, and that was before these drones were widely available. Seems like they still have no contingency plans for such a scenario.

You have a motorcade of several black SUV’s and you don’t know that is the President .. and doesn’t the President’s SUV have small flags flying at the front of the SUV ..??
But .. the guy was black .. so they let him go.
Was it registered with the FAA.
Put a few South Louisiana Duck Hunters in the motorcade. Drone hunting at its best. They would be much easier to hit than a duck.
Well I should hope so. At least they were not drunk. Stoned? Maybe.
Should have quickly flown it to a neighbor’s house that had been giving him trouble. Too bad he didn’t think of that.

First thing that I thought. Then again this may have been staged in the first place. Just so they can regulate them EVEN more, or outright ban them. NOTHING would surprise with this bunch of traitors.
I would hate to see something happen to the president.
