Wat?: NBC News Describes Bill Clinton’s Affair with Monica Lewinsky as ‘Alleged’
Breitbart ^ | DECEMBER 29, 2015 | by JOHN NOLTE

Posted on 12/29/2015 9:02:26 AM PST by Hojczyk

While interviewing Republican frontrunner Donald Trump Tuesday, “The Today’s Show’s” precious sunflower Savannah Guthrie described Clinton’s well-documented and admitted-to affair with Monica Lewinsky as “alleged.” Trump immediately jumped down her lying throat.

Courtesy of the Washington Examiner:

“You mention Monica Lewinsky,” Guthrie asked. “Are you saying an alleged extra-marital affair, that of course he has now admitted, is that fair game?”

“Is it alleged? I don’t think that’s alleged,” Trump pounced. …

“No, he’s admitted it, he’s admitted it,” Guthrie agreed.

“If he’s admitted it, you don’t have to use the word alleged,” Trump replied.

“Right, exactly,” Guthrie said. “Are you saying an extramarital affair by Bill Clinton is fair game, is something that you think should be in the campaign?”

After Guthrie failed to sneak that one past, the left-wing precious sunflower then took issue with a Trump tweet reminding people that during the 2008 Democrat primary, Bill Clinton was accused of racism for his behavior towards Barack Obama in South Carolina:

Guthrie asked whether that tweet means Trump himself believes Bill Clinton is a racist.

“No, he was called that by the Obama campaign, he was called it loud and clear,” Trump said.

“Then why put it in your tweet if you don’t believe it?” Guthrie pressed.

“All I said was what they said, Savannah,” Trump explained. “That’s what they said, they called him a racist. I don’t believe he is a racist, if you want to know the truth, but they called him a racist, it was a miserable campaign, he did very poorly, and if they bring him about again, he’s being wheeled out and we’re going to see what happens.”

The Lewinsky scandal was an American political sex scandal emerging in 1998, from a sexual relationship between 49-year-old President Bill Clinton and a 22-year-old White House employee, Monica Lewinsky. The news of this extra-marital affair and the resulting investigation eventually led to the impeachment of President Clinton in 1998 by the U.S. House of Representatives and his subsequent acquittal on all impeachment charges of perjury and obstruction of justice in a 21-day Senate trial.

[1]President Clinton was held in civil contempt of court by Judge Susan Webber Wright.

[2] His license to practice law was suspended in Arkansas and later by the United States Supreme Court.

[3] He was also fined $90,000 for giving false testimony.

[4]
In 1995, Lewinsky, a graduate of Lewis & Clark College, was hired to work as an intern at the White House during Clinton’s first term, and was later an employee of the White House Office of Legislative Affairs. While working at the White House she began a personal relationship with Clinton, the details of which she later confided to her friend and Defense Department co-worker Linda Tripp, who secretly recorded their telephone conversations.

[5]

When Tripp discovered in January 1998 that Lewinsky had sworn an affidavit in the Paula Jones case denying a relationship with Clinton, she delivered the tapes to Kenneth Starr, the Independent Counsel who was investigating Clinton on other matters, including the Whitewater scandal, the White House FBI files controversy, and the White House travel office controversy. During the grand jury testimony Clinton’s responses were carefully worded, and he argued, “It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is”,

[6] in regards to the truthfulness of his statement that “there is not a sexual relationship, an improper sexual relationship or any other kind of improper relationship.”

[7] The wide reporting of the scandal led to criticism of the press for over-coverage.

[8][9][10] The scandal is sometimes referred to as “Monicagate”,

[11] Lewinskygate”,

[12] “Tailgate”,

[13] “Sexgate”,

[14] and “Zippergate”,

[15] following the “-gate” nickname construction that has been popular since the Watergate scandal.

Well, it can’t be true because he’s a Dhimmicrap.

Besides, Savannah Guthrie didn’t get her turn with him.

What has always blown my mind about the Bill and Monica thing is doing sexual things in the Oval Office. If there is one place on this earth where Russia, Iran, China or many European countries or even our own CIA would have a listening device or spy camera unknown to the President, it would be in that office.

Trump will kill Hillary as long as he does not say something really stupid.

Trump will soon schlong Hillary in a yoooj way. As far as Trump saying something stupid, we are way past going through that looking glass and down that rabbit hole. Trump can, will, and does say stupid stuff all the time and his numbers go up. Trump is a symptom of the GOPe's lack of responsiveness to center-right voters who have had enough. Go Trump! Popcorn is ready.

For clarity. What you refer to as keyboard quotation marks are, in fact, not quotation marks at all. They are primes and usually indicate inches/feet or minutes/hour. They are also used in coding, but they are not for use in prose. The difference is easy to see:

Actual apostrophes & quotation marks are what this site does not display properly due to what may be a unicode issue. Proper quotation marks are made on a keyboard like this:

On a Mac, use Option+[ and Shift+Option+[ for the left and right double quotes.

For Windows, use ALT 0147 and ALT 0148 for the left and right double quotes.

Many software applications use "smart quoting" which automatically replaces the prime character with proper quote characters.

Text, copied and pasted from websites and such, will almost always contain proper quotes and so do not display correctly here. We should not have to edit what are already proper quote marks, in my opinion. The site should display them properly.

Having said that, I always adjust anything I post on Free Republic to display properly. I would not have had fun doing that with the original post here. : )

I’m glad Trump caught the misuse of the word “alleged”. So many Americans would have never known the difference; their support for Mrs. Bill is so unwavering.

Yes they do, and when the error called to their attention, they can just say “Well he ought to have been impeached!”

Mr. Bill and Mrs. Bill: the gift that keeps on giving to the American people, or so they think.

Why does everyone miss the relevant parts about the Lewinsky thing: It happened in the workplace. A Federal Workplace.

Sexual harassment laws were in effect then.

Tell me what would happen to any CEO caught banging an INTERN! Do you think the board of directors would ignore that?

Second of all is Hillary saying we should believe any woman who cries rape.

Really?

Okay.

I'll keep working on replacing the quotation marks with something that is in fact not quotation marks at all.

You keep saying that it should just work the way it is.

We'll see who comes up with something legible to post first.

It was Linda Tripp who persuaded Monica Lewinsky not to wash the blue dress. That meant there was DNA evidence to prove the affair had happened...and may have prevented Monica from being Arkancided.

Can you cite any provision in our written Federal Constitution, which gives Congress any possible right toi forbid people from having sex or importuning for sex in their workplace?

Overreaching misuse of a Government set up for certain specific functions--and only those functions--is not a good thing--even when it embarrasses scoundrels.

There are employment laws that forbid creating a hostile workplace. I am sure there are things in the national security standards that were broken.

I do not believe that the founding fathers considered for a moment the cigar incident. Ok, probably Ben Franklin could top that. But that kind of impropriety is not allowed in professional workplaces.

Finally, the reason this is coming up is because Hillary touts her vagina, and all things vagina related. She is against abuse of power and pushing women down. Except that is exactly what she did to all of the accusers.
