He seemed like a politician a couple weeks ago, if not a RINO, when he was dancing around the questions about his advocating a form of amnesty.
Headline is misleading, but the article is good.
GOP fears that Cruz will not be in the go-along-to-get-along crowd.
Cruz has shown that he is not GOP, thank goodness.

There are about 340 sanctuary jurisdictions in the United States. They make a mockery of our laws and endanger our citizens. I will end support for these jurisdictions.
Prohibit illegal immigrants from receiving financial benefits and strengthen E-Verify.
American taxpayers should not be funding benefits for those who are here illegally, and American jobs should not go to those who are here illegally. I will protect Americans’ wellbeing by stopping the flow of taxpayer dollars and instituting a strong e-verify system.
The Republican Party has been taken over by undercover DemocRats and now the Rats control both parties, they are not going to give up one of them without a fight.
The scum doesn’t believe that at all, but they’re definitely trying to plant that idea in the minds of the conservative base.
If they thought he was a RINO they would bury him in support.
How soon we forget, GW described himself as "A Compassionate Conservative."

Well, it appears that the establishment is throwing out yet another variant of the “can’t win general elections” canard. I suspect this variant won’t be sticking to the wall either.
